Fix the lag and watch all those campaigns fill up.

Why would more people play on less popular servers when the lag on the popular ones is fixed? Are people solely choosing azuras over axe or trueflame because they prefer the lag?

The point is that we have lost many PVPers to the lag.... Without lag and a few of the more irritating bugs the PVP in ESO is amazballs.

If the lag is ever fixed, people will flock back to the game.... it will be the second coming!!!

Just like when the game went B2P, right? That lasted for a few weeks or so...

As much as I like the PvP in this game, people have to face the fact that the damage is done and the PvP population isn't likely to increase unless some substantial changes (improvements and/or content) are made.
Unsubbed and no longer playing, but still checking the Alliance War forum for the lulz.

I'd say get rid of Axe, keep Trueflame. There is no need for Axe to just serve as the AD buff server. It needs to go.

If you don't let the highest population faction control proportionally more campaigns then they will only zerg down the next campaign when the campaign they inhabit is removed. Let the players who choose to inhabit a buff server play on that server and let the players who want competitive PvP play on the competitive campaigns.

I think we need 2 MORE campaigns and a pop cap that is half of what it is now.

    Copy cat

Lol, great minds evidently think alike. I didn't even continue reading after I saw Bee's comment and posting so I never even saw your same suggestion.

Still it makes sense to anyone with a logical mind. Reduce pop caps and increase number of campaigns until lag becomes marginal. Unfortunately it appears ZoS has been doing the opposite.

How long has it been since any of you have waited in a campaign queue? I haven't seen ONE in 4 or 5 months now. Even when it says "locked" I queue, and get instapopped.

The problem with this is that ZOS will just declare the lag problem "fixed" and never bother to raise the pop cap again.

It's not the same. The people that left the game were willing to pay for it. Switching to a method that made playing free for them did not matter, as that was not the reason they left the game. It didn't even affect the reason why they left the game. All that switch did was bring some new players into the game. Those new players helped boost the playerbase back up, but I'm guessing a good amount of them who were interested in PvP stopped playing for the very same reasons. With no lag and some bug fixes I know for a fact a lot of people I've talked to would come back to this game. Everyone thinks it's the best PvP available... when it's working.

Also need to remove "guest" option and ways to manipulate to get all people into one server.

I don't think fixing lag and the bugs would fix all the issues. The ball group meta is still very unexciting for a large number of players and fixing the lag would only increase the number of balls rolling around. Until they actually balance some things in addition to fixing the lag I don't see PvP making a turn for the better.
