Heavy attack destro staff OP

So I'm pvping in Haderus and an AD magic night blade hit me for over 22k with a destro staff heavy attack. Can someone explain how this is possible? I have very high resistance to magic and physical damage I'm v16 all v16 legendary armor. What the hell is this guy's build to be putting out 22k with heavy attacks?

100points staff attacks, butcher perk 75point passive in that tree, fire destro gets 12% damage increase, might've been dark elf, buffed with major sorc might've been empower from entropy couldve had your armor cracked with reapers mark.

Thats not even considering armor or kena proc

This game allows for alot of build diversity

Ps dark elf dk's with molten weapons hit hard

Might i also suggest werewolf essence thief gear, or werewolf wearing morkulidin, shock master stam sorc gives your light attacks a chance to disengrate low health targets,

Stam sorc? Are those still good? Hmm where can I find that gear I usually just use crafted gear. I was thinking magic nb so I can do the batswarm, Sap essence,magic detonation combo and try to zerg bomb kids seems fun

Essence thief and shock master drop in wgt, murk is 9trait crafted, nb vamp is awesome tried that before proxy sap essence bat swarm good damage. But vamp in pvp hurts so much too much camo hunter

I wish i could try sheer venom and marag tong, or hawk eye and kyne flight but too much rng in this games loot system hurts

Stam sorc is ok i play mine when im tired of the nb life

well, you can buff heavy attack dmg with a lot of things, for example:

100 points Elemental Expert = 25% more fire dmg
66 points into Elfborn = 18.7% in crit dmg
Relentless Focus = 8% inc overall dmg
Aggro Warhorn = 30% inc critical damage
Darkelf = 8% inc fire dmg
Empower buff = 20% inc overall dmg
hemorrhage= 5% inc crit dmg

NB passive Master Assassin = Increases Weapon and Spell Damage while invisible or stealthed by 10%.
Full Spelldmg/Magicka build will result in approx 47k Magicka and like 3k+ spelldmg without Kena? (smth like that)

75 into Fire Staff Expert = 19% Heavy attack dmg
91 into Ele Expert = 23% inc fire dmg
+ butcher, so you get 12% inc Staff dmg


And i prolly still forgot some stuff so ye, possibru. Lucky NB does not have Molten armaments hahaha

Does the attack scale off weapon or spell damage would rally make a difference if I use a two handed buff bar?

It's a staff so it scales of spell dmg + max magicka, so rally won't do anything.

Well said... seeing it listed like that, shows just how redonculous it all actually is.. and why PvP is again into instagib territory, even with the 50% damage reduction.

There are ways to counter such things. But most ppl do not want to because they want to run cookie cutter builds

You could simply craft your pvp chacter all impertrable trait on gear and throw a few cps into crit resistance and boom half these builds are irrelevant. Cps are amazing

Malestorm weapons + critical hit + CP + passives? those cause attacks to deal very high damage if you stand in stupid of wall of elements.

Put points on Elemental defender and Hardy under The Lady constellation..only thing that keeps Yrhn and Crusader from killing me that quick..

+1 for impen gear. Im running way more than I need and ever since I did I have not been 1 shot. I can run around with no fear of gankblades anymore. Let the 1-shot-wonder builds try and gank me, all they do is reveal their location so a real fight can ensue.

Dark Elf is 7%, Altmer is 4%, NBs have a base +10% crit damage passive too. Not to mention a passive 8% magicka bonus. Although getting Reaper's Mark to work would be the icing on the cake.

I know that my Dunmer Sorc (self buffed 501 CP) hits PvE mobs for 22k with a full fire heavy. And he doesn't have most of these buffs

This is why crits don't happen to shields. If they did then... then it would be simply stupid to not be a crit dps build.

Why? If you run this build you havev almost no recovery and armor, so its a cookie cutter build. You give up all your defensive stats for max dmg.

Actually running around with 100 CP pts in crit dmg reduction and all impen on my VR10 templar (with about 15k phys resists) and few days ago a NB took me by surprise and I lost 18k health in 2 seconds.. didn't instagib me, but imho that's a bit too much damage in such a short time on a non-vamp, decently geared character for something that comes out of nowhere basically...

Expert skills in the mage tree in CP. Not as useless as players think now huh ?? Blade expert with GS and DKs molten armaments and just watch half there HP go down from one heavy attack.
