How Many Impenetrable Pieces is Right?

Nothing like flapping my wings while shooting my glass cannon Force Pulses during siege, only to get CC'd and take a dozen critical arrows to the dome.

I did notice an improvement when I put on the Impenetrable Kena helmet, and I'm wondering if the gloves and belt should become Impenetrable too. 3-4 seems maximum at gold v16.

I just want to keep flapping my wings like a cool sunglasses guy.

The effects of Impenetrable are increasingly effective until your total crit resistance is 50% or more (which is very difficult to achieve with just CPs and gear)

Small pieces for a PvP build that does not overly rely on block or damage shields is best in slot.

I like to personally use 3 infused, 2 divines, 2 impen

It really depends on how many point in resistant that character has though.

im assuming you are a DK, as am I. I don't have a lot of CP in crit resistance, but I am running 6 impen on my gear (5 armor and a shield with my build). I don't feel like Im loosing much as I can still achieve 3k+ weapon damage, 2300+ stam regen and a 24-25k stam pool buffed. With wings it makes 1v1 fights almost /faceroll.

Only real issue I have is when 4-5+ opposition come rolling thru and dump on me, but then again how many builds are taking on that many all at once and still winning?

The only thing missing that I see is you don't calculate the divines gear that your opponent is wearing. With Shadow mundus and 7 divines you get over 18% Crit bonus damage.

Look at the spreadsheet it will tell you how much damage you are taking from crits with your setup. No one can tell you how much is enough because everyone runs different setups in pvp. You might encounter a nb rocking twice born set with 100 points in precise and using shadow mundus. Conversely, You might run into a nb rocking Julianos with 100% in thermaturge using spell power mundus. You have to decide for yourself what the right balance is. There's to much variation in pvp. Now the statistical forum experts might be able to provide guidance on what that right balance should be based on what the majority of the community is using based on current meta. But your question needs to be very specific.

Generally speaking, you can never get enough impen. As a poster above pointed out, you will run into multitudes of variants in builds daily, from folks sporting the bare minimum to near max +crit damage and anywhere in between.

Minimum being +50%

Max being around +97% (For certain classes)

It's totally up to you to find the sweet spot that works for you.

Depends on your class as well. A build that has weak or no wards will benefit from impenetrable, where a shield stacking sorc would get very little out of impenetrable.

I personally do not use any. My shields prevent crits all together, it benefits me more to maximize my shields so infused and divines are far more useful.

All Nightblade's get a free 10% critical damage. So i don't see why you shouldn't have all 7 pieces impen and lots of cp in crit resist as well.

You cannot mitigate all of a nightblade's crit damage, that's what's important. Also even tho base is 50%, you can increase it with cp. So there will probably never be a player you encounter that only has a flat 50% modifier.

I personally like to run as much as possible. It really help's sustain.

Use food buff, 2x blood spawn and minor/major heroism

Impen + resistant changes the game. If you haven't run it, you'll be very surprised. It's almost the resilient of ESO.
