How long until axes are balanced?

Lol ZOS either ridiculously buffs things (radiant destruction, meteor), or nerfs things into uselessness (blazing shields, immovable; bone shield has always been useless).

Now the bleed damage on axes is ridiculous. So how long do you think it'll be until they're balanced? Until then I'm rocking an axe in Cyrodiil :-P

My guess is thieves guild DLC btw.

The bug is kind of a double edged sword (err... axe?). Since the bleed is reapplied 100% of the time and only begins ticking after 2 seconds, you only really get the benefits of the bleed during disconnects in the fight if you are using an axe as your main weapon. With a 16% chance you would have more cases where you get some damage out of the bleed while constantly dealing damage to someone. Still, this just caused me to put an axe on my back (buff) bar and swing a light attack with it occasionally to keep the bleed ticking 100% of the time. The dot does more damage than rending slashes lol.

agreed. I posted a question about this in another thread asking what all would proc the bleed or if it was just light attacks (since that's all I have paid attention to it proccing from). Makes most sense to have the 2hr bar be a buff bar, swing once then swap to a main DPS bar.

I know, it's frustrating. I read a really great suggestion on the forums recently for axes - to remove the crappy bleed damage and replace it with an overall bonus to critical strike damage, making it more useful for all builds. I really wish they would do that - those Dwemer axes are so sexy, my magicka Templar salivates at the idea.

its class depending thing my dw/2h build works great with it i´m using a 2h buffbar axe now one light attack to appliy it while buffing and you are good to go...

as we all learned exploit early exploit often otherwise nothing will change anyway.
