Game crashes - The Mad Gods Bargain

Hi there
I have started The Mad Gods Bargain mages quest and every time i try to use the portal to Eyevea i get a long load screen message and then the game crashes to the load screen with a message along the lines of make sure you have a valid internet connection.
This is my 5th character and I havent had this happen on any of my others, any advice ??
