But the larger part of this thread is regarding VR2-15s... a VR16 is going to want to make the investments into his gear and he's going to want to put a lot of effort in getting geared up.
A VR5 is not. He's in a *** position of NEEDING extremely good gear to compete, but knowing he wants to grow out of that gear ASAP so he's not going to put the time/resources into gearing up, and he's at an all-time weak point.
My greater point is simply, "becoming LESS powerful is NOT an acceptable consequence of leveling up."

You know by grinding you can get a vet lvl an hour with a exp pot?
If your that bothered about getting weaker when leveling then just grind enough up to v16
It used to annoy me when a vet 3 had similar stats to my vet 14/16 and they still complained on the forum, about 'imbalance'.
If i put 5x more time into my character than you then of course i should be stronger.

That's the OP's point. But this is not what's happening. Do us a favor and roll a test character, at lvl ten put him in the same set as your main and compare stats, then tell me if you feel alright with that
