Hi, some of you might be a little lost in Cyrodil, so here's what you gotta do:
1.Play stam. Maybe you will tell me "But I'm a high elf sorcerer". That's not relevant. Put all your caracs points in stam, no discussion. Your class, your race, is not important. Well, if you start now, better go imperial, but really, it doesn't make a big difference. Also dk is a little better because of wings, or nb if you like assassin's playstyle.
2. If it's not already done, level your 2h skill to 50. On your second skill set, you can take bow if you like to attack from distance, dual wield if you like aoe, or sb if you like a little more defense.
3. Go all medium armor, hunding rage, agility rings, molag kena, or any set with stam to complete the hunding+agility
4. Spam wrecking blow. It can seem hard to do at the beginning, but with a little practice you can hit everytime. For other skills, use the medium armor dodge skill, rally every few seconds, vigor if you have it, and the finisher 2h if you want, but wb does the trick anyway. And critical charge, to kill these op sorcerers, they will run out of mana with their streaks before you run out of stam ( if you re nb, ambush is better, and you can use suprise attack when you're bored of wrecking blows).
5. So what is a point having class skills, will you say? It's for cc of course! If you're sorcerer, use streak every 4 seconds, nb use fear, templar biting jabs, dk fossilize ( and wings if your opponent attacks you with staff or bow). Every class has also some kind of buffs for weapon damage or regen, but read your skills, i can't do everything for you. That's where race comes into play: as a high elf, maybe you won t have as much stam as your opponent, but you can use streak, wings or shadow cloak more, so the gameplay will be a tiny bit different but it will work out.
6. Learn anim cancellation. It's SKILL. In this game, skill is how well you can do the same thing exactly all the time. Not awareness, not adapting to the opponent, no. Skill is doing the same thing ALWAYS, as fast as possible. So train yourself in pve, to cut your wb with light attack, bashs ( bash works great!), and put in some dodgerolls in there. When you master your sequence, you don t even have to think anymore, just do it and your opponent will die.
Problem is, what do I do when the opponent do exactly the same? Well, that might happen often for sure. If you're more skilled than him ( meaning you anim cancel better, am I clear?), then no problem. But if you and your opponent are a little too close, and you're not sure to win, find a ZERG.
To be a good zergling, you have to use dual wield, and spam steel tornado. Good thing is, it's instant, you don't even have to anim cancel to do insane dps with it. Anyone knows how good steel tornado is, so I won't expand on it further. If you have not enough healers in your zerg, have several zerglings slot barrier, you will have a nice shield, with great weapon damage comes great shielding. And as everybody spam vigor, you will be fine.
Is it really that simple? Well, yes, but as i said, you have a choice on your secondary setup. You really like bow? Learn to do the snipe/heavy attack/silver shards combo from stealth and you will kill, I guarantee you. Sword and board is great for bashing endlessly, and you will break the cc without even thinking.
If you really really want to play magicka (meaning maybe you like to loose), either be a healer or find a deto/pulsar Zerg. It's not as powerful, but it's better than nothing.
Hope this helps, have fun in your clone wars!
