Hello,

I made this thread for share my current build of my magicka nb. I hope you enjoy it and give some ideas for your build.


Stats

Statistics on map of cyrodiil full yellow (I am on DC faction) and tri stat purple food vr15. (and unbuffed)

Stats with dual wield




Stats with resto staff


Gear

I have 5 light, 1medium and 1 heavy for undaunted passives. But if you dont have it, you can have 7 light armor pieces or 6 light and 1 heavy.

- 5 willow's path

hat, infused, max magicka, light armor
epaulets, divines, max magicka, light armor
gloves, divines, max magicka, light armor
breeches, infused, max magicka, light armor
boots, divines, max magicka, medium armor

- 4 Magnus

Cuirass, infused, max magicka, heavy armor
sash, divines, max magicka, light armor
2 swords nirnhoned trait, enchants : one disease and one prismatic enchant
Resto staff, defending trait, absorb magicka enchant.

- 3 willpower (arcane)
necklace spell damages enchant,
2 rings with magicka recovery enchant (or 1 on spell damages depends of what you want, more sustain or spell damages)

The thief

The tower, magician 60.
The lover, arcanist 100, mooncalf 6.

The mage

The apprentice, elfborn 27, spell erosion 35, blessed 4.
The ritual, thaumaturge 100.

The warrior,

The steed, spell shield 76, resistant 2.
The lady, light armor focus 3, hardy 10, elemental defender 6, thick skinned 5.
The lord, nourishing 3, bastion 61, quick recovery 1.


Skills

Dual wield

Concealed weapon
sap essence
lotus fan
dark cloak
impale
ultimate : soul harvest or dawnbreaker of smiting


Resto staff

Healing ward
proximity detonation
shadow image (or efficient purge in group)
Harness magicka
Mass hysteria
Ultimate : clouding swarm (or soul tether if you are not vampire)

After dueling this build a million times I can say it's very effective. I think I'll try it for my magicka nightblade in the future

I myself have also tasted your build's strength in both 1v1 and with larger group.

This build amazes me, how well you have utilized stamina char, with magicka build.

I'm not familiar with vampirism, so is it enough, that you have only 1 vamp skill slotted in whichever slot, to benefit from passives?

I mean, if i slot vamp ultimate to skill bar 1, does vampire passives benefit me while i use skill bar 2?

No. You must have a vampire skill slotted on each bar.

I have changed my gear for more spell damages, and also some skills. And I play with 6 lights, and 1 heavy for better magicka management and reduce spell cost because I loose around 100 points of magicka recovery with my new gear.

Gear,

- 5 Kagrenac's hope

hat, infused, max magicka, light armor

I was going to ask you why Impale in the DW bar, then I saw you change it (I think Impale is good in case you want to keep distance from the enemy). From my xp, Siphoning attacks is OK for sustain and Mercilless Resolve only if you wave light attacks.

In the resto staff line, have you tried refreshing path?

I have a similar build (although I use 2 resto staff and no resto staff skill) and I stopped being a vamp. To increase my SP in the second bar (the ranged one) I use entropy, then funnel health while keeping merciless resolve active (light attacks in middle to activate assasin's will)

But I think yours is pretty good

When magicka NB I have about the same build. Except I wear only light armor ( I don't have undaunted passives since I don't PvE)

3 pieces archemage V16 all divined
4 pieces magnus V16 all divined
3 willpower jewels all arcance 2 with magicka regen and 1 with magicka damage

2 pieces torug pact (dual wield, nirnhorned or 1-handed shield nirn+divined)
restro staff magnus

What is your vision of the armorset "Julianos".

Is it worth wasting resources to craft this V16 set? Or should I stick to abovge armor set. My regeneration is high enough to cast swallow soul unlimited and I do around the same spell damage as you.

If I get bored of my bowblade I go switch back to my magblade. Although I am really anxious if the shadow walker V16 set comes around. I really loved that set at V14. Cloak in open space = +stamina +health

So, what's the general consensus on Undaunted Mettle these days? Are the stat boosts worth the loss of regen/cost reduction from the 2 armor pieces you give up?

Very much so. Regen and cost reduction can be made up for with CP. Basic stats can't to the degree that passive provides. Plus since you'll be wearing each armor type you can also utilize their passives except for the "5 or more pieces" ones of course.

I've made some changes indeed. I'll update it asap. (I'm still trying new sets and skills, atm I'll think about a build for non cp campaign).

Yes, I can make an update of this build. I just need time for farm news magicka sets. (like amberplasm)
I've tried this old build recently with my breton and sustain is really awful, but it's also a nightmare with all these snares. They're really overpowered and too many in game in my opinion actually.

I'd like to see more amberplasm in pvp... it seems like a light armor black rose set.
