Nurfed paladins? Unfair class disadvantages.

So I started playing in the sewers to help one of my guild members because he said we could get rubidite and great experience too, but he needed me because I was a TEMPLAR HEALER . I never liked pvp so had little experience in cyrodiil but he said the sewers were more PvE so I agreed to help. So we went in their and immediately II noticed my healing ability's were not as strong as before and at first I thought it was a effect from the enimies. I was wrong. After many deaths and frustrating hours trying to figure out why my healing was not doing what it was supposedto I looked at my character sheet and I read that healing was reduced %50??

I built my entire character oto be a healer. All of my set pieces are for max magica/regen to optimize healing and most of my abilities are healing abilities so I m doing very little dps and now I can't do what my build is meant to do. Not only that but I see enemy players are mostly stupid nightblades that spam fear, stun and other control effects and kill people (like me) very easily. It's stupid and frustrating to be hit constantly with moves that make it to where I can't do anything g on top of being at half power to begin with. I'm not going to pvp until healing is back to normal. I have seen templars who can do damage but once again not what my character was built to do.

If anything needs to be nurfed is control effects.

U know that spell dmg increases your healing? Templar heals are the best in pvp by far and are actually pretty strong.

Im a templar btw. In case u fight a Nightblade u should allways purge before because they reduce ur healing received.
But in case he does everything right u are dead anyways :(

What you are experiencing is PvP. All heals, regens and damage is reduced by half.

As a healer your gonna need a strong DPS to couple you. If you think you will make up the lack of his strength with your heals its gonna be rough.

IC is closer related to Craglorn or later end game content. At this point, Cyrodiil is now like PvE content that I've over levelled.

I think it goes, Cyrodiil, Craglorn, IC in difficulty. Can't be sure as im almost entirely PvP now.

It'll get better, as you gain levels, gear, CPs and learn you'll get super strong

It's not fair to players if zos nurfs one class but not the others none of the others. Nurf healing? Then nurf control effects.

Max Magicka and the blessed CP line will both increase your heals. Do not damage your build trying to get a bunch of Spell damage. Sustain is more important.

All healing got nerfed in PvP. Some classes were hit much harder than your Templar. DKs can't even use their Dragonblood anymore it's so pathetic. At least the templar heal still works.

Heal strength in PvP is the last thing you should complain about as a templar. It's the only thing with the class that works like a charm lol.

Complain about clumpy/clunky skills, bugged skills, lack of skills that can be animation cancelled or cast while blocking, skills that get "fixed" but ends up even more bugged, lack of working class shield, lack mele defence, lack of mobility, lack of nice ultis for solo play, lack of good cc + more qq.

But the healing is crazy strong, just need to boost it to overcome Battle Spirit.

Unless I completely change my build to dps but then when my group does dungeons I can't be their healer.

Magicka Templar does not require you to specifically only be a healer. Your dps scales with your magicka and spell power at the same time. Use puncturing sweeps, 40% of your dmg heals you. Use channeled focus and breath of life/Honor the dead. Your dmg is still high, your heals are high what's the issue? Unless you have devoted your entire build to stacking +heal bonuses and ignoring spell power your dmg should be just fine while your heals kick ass too.

Stamina Templar on the other hand is totally boned cause our heals scale on magic but our dmg scales on stamina.

ANY crafted set can be made in any armor weight.. Eyes of Mara, Twilights embrace, and Magnus gift all have set bonuses as well as other Magicka bonuses built in.. and they can be made in heavy.. so not at all impossible to find heavy armor that has spell damage.. sorry but you are wrong in this statement

This statement is also wrong.. I have a vet 16 templar healer who can heal trials, and also can dps them.. there is no need to change your build to dps if your healer build is built on spell damage, spell crit, max magicka and regen. also.. weapon damage will help with your weapon based heals such as healing springs and the like..

This is strictly a learn to play issue. You went to a PvP zone w/o any PvP experience and get rekt.

Push your spell damage high with either set bonuses, jewelry glyphs, or DW swords. Your defensive rotation is purify, channeled focus and BoL (still the strongest heal in the game by a long shot). Your main damage attack will heal you (and for extra healing if you're inside your purify). Repentence is your stamina management (the best in the game), especially in the sewers.

Here's your setup: 3 willpower, 5 Kag, 4 magnus. DW swords. Make 5 of the pieces heavy.

    Next: go practice.

I can tell OP is discouraged and really doesn't wanna hear it.

But it does get better! You really can't compare a geared out char to a non. I mean just adding a willpower set to my build made a noticeable difference.

As a magicka temp you have massive potential. You can kill me and another player at once (oh that temp was good... had me chase after him just to double back and kill my ally, after that he survived my burst with a great heal at which point I had nothing left and promptly died.)

You may feel like the gap is too big to over come, but it can be. If you just give yourself a chance.

Btw there are tons of players here in the forum that are more than willing to go above and beyond to help. You'll be amazed at how much people are willing to sacrifice to help a player have an enjoyable time. I've seen players even offer tens of thousands of gold worth of items on the forums :)

I will admit I could definitely become stronger. I'm vet rank 5, but as far as my gear goes I have great gear and weapons (for my rank) and of course I shouldn't be in any pvp area with a small group but the experience I have gained their is far more then any questing or grinding I have done, and as soon as my friend can make the potion that boosts that more I'll be rank 16 in no time....

Its just frustrating right now that I cant go in and help my group in pvp like I can if we are in a dungeon.

Cc break exists, as does cc immunity.
If you are running out of stamina then that is a problem you can address with gear changes and stam pots.

Most players and templars don't realize that while most classes have a dedicated execute for dps, the Templar has a healing execute (BOL). At the right level of low health, you can cast it once to fully heal ;).

Dragon blood is useless for my mana DK due to this nerf. I am strongly considering replacing it with something else. :(
