Thaumaturge champion points not working.

Tool tips are not affected by the points put into this. Can anyone at zos confirm this is a bug?

I'm not sure. Zos has never commented on it. Would be nice to have clarification if it just doesn't show up in the tool tip or it's broken.

i had 40 champion points in Thaumaturge with spell power at 2546. so to test this i reset my champion points and left 0 point in Thaumaturge . and my spell power is still 2546. so it look like its not working this is on xbox

Yeah it doesn't show up in tool tips but from my testing with using a skill on enemy with 0 in thurmaturge and again with I forgot how much I put in (50ish maybe) it dealt a lot more damage. So it's not just a console thing.

Thaumaturge should never have an effect on the Spell Damage stat. Spell Damage stat affects all attacks that use magicka as their resource. Using magicka as a resource is not the same thing as doing magic damage. Thaumaturge only affects skills that do magic, poison, or disease damage, regardless of resource. Lava Whip uses magicka and does fire damage. Buffed by Spell Damage stat, not buffed by Thaumaturge. Evil Hunter uses stamina and does magic damage. Not buffed by Spell Damage stat, is buffed by Thaumaturge. And so on.

Thaumaturge may be bugged, but not increasing Spell Damage stat is correct.
