First post here.

I only really know how to play the sorc... I've been playing one since I started on console and have never gotten bored of it. I love this community and I thought I'd share my pve build.

A bit of background info: I've tried max magicka and max spell damage builds and have finally settled on max recovery with decent spell damage (3600 with Surge). I am now close to 200 Champion points and have gotten my magic recovery with drink up to 2300.

Gear:
3x willpower jewellery
5x kagrenacs
2x seducer
2x torugs
5 light, 1 medium and 1 heavy (To get undaunted passives)
All Prismatic enchants (will get to this later)

Weapons:
Dual wield swords
Restoration staff

Skills:
Inner light
Power surge
Crystal Blast / Mages Wrath
Dark exchange
Boundless storm

Ultimate:
Greater atronach or
Suppression field or
Power overload

Mundus:
Atronach (Magic recovery)

I've ditched the monster helms in favour of crafted sets. I used to roll Valkyn Skoria, but have decided that skills are more consistent (and do more damage). I will however, switch to a 1-piece Molag Kena for spell damage, but am still grinding for it. So far I am loving having resources up 80 - 90% of the time.

My main spam is Crystal blast, which does just over 9k damage plus 4.5k to surrounding enemies. The channel time works in my favour, as it allows my magic to regenerate. This is pve, which means I am going for sustainability vs burst damage.

At all times I will have Boundless storm up. This gives me resistance and more importantly - escapability. If I do run out of magic I have two options, for regular content (vet pledges, grinding sewers etc) I use Dark exchange. For more serious affairs, I use Spell power potions.

All small pieces of gear is divines and large pieces is infused. Many players will question why I have used prismatic enchants, as opposed to straight magic. The reason is that I prefer to use recovery drinks over max stat food. So in order to run a sorc, without using shields, I also need high base health. I need high stamina to kite and recover magic using Dark conversion, or sprint using Boundless Storm.

I use the Resto staff for several reasons. The first is that I used to be a healer, and am prepared to take over the role when the Templar goes down. Some may disagree with me here, but I prefer playing with people who have an alternative build (or strategy), when things don't go your way. The second is for Healing ward. Healing ward is the strongest healing skill for the Sorc, allowing you to support the healer or solo content with ease. Healing Springs is also a rapid way to build Ultimates like Suppression field, for situations with overwhelming adds.

Last but not least, the recovery sorc must always be on his (or her) toes. Looking out for yourself and keeping an eye out on your teams health bars, stuns, knockbacks etc. Because at the end of the day, a revive means that half the team is pretty much afk. I hope you enjoy this build.
