Templar Solar Barrage

Devs should rethink this ability some. It is fine on AOE radius but lacks damage. It also lacks the defile debuff. I see no reason why this aoe ability shouldn't have the defile buff added since in the opposite morph Dark Flare the debuff is AOE based.

Please add the defile debuff to this ability. There is no reason for it not to be.

the reason is that an AoE defile is very strong.
they make you pay the cast time on dark flare for it.

imho this makes neither spell very good right now but an instant PBAoE defile would really be very ( too) strong

AoE spammable major defile? Is this a joke?

Solar Barrage out damages Impulse, and has twice the area (6^2 = 36 vs 8^2 = 64), and adds Empower. I think its solid.

Dark flare while the damage only hits one target does an AOE effect Defile hitting the target and those around the target. I get the cast time as being the distinction but the DPS is huge single target while barrage is considerably less on my build dark flare is described as doing 9k damage and barrage is 3600. The defile just seems to be an added bonus to dark flare.

Since Templars have no real mobility this might be a niche build for the class. I'm just thinking on how to tweek the class abilities to make Templars shine a little more.

I also don't think it would matter considering the purge spamming that takes place. But I think we have all witnessed the zerg balls and small groups need a bump in order to handle the 60+ balls.
