The Maelstrom Greatsword

Okay at face value the enchantment on this weapon is insane. A crit charge -> uppercut -> uppercut -> executioner will kill anything that moves with this weapon.

You know, that does like really strong. BUT, I am ok with it because I can purge that DoT and the old master weapons were lackluster.

The skill modifications on some of them seem to be a bit meh (for PvP) but I'll be seeking out the bow and perhaps the dagger based on the weapon damage increase alone.

No you didn't it's not in that pic for some reason but according to Eso Academy:

"Low Slash grants an additional 430 damage and restores an additional 232 stamina on your next fully charged heavy attack within 5 seconds. While equipped grants an additional 1651 physical and spell resistance".

The resistance sounds nice, but the rest is crap.

As Joy pointed out it's DOT damage so it can be cloaked off, purged or negated by shields but the amount of damage alone makes it superior to every other Masters Mk2 Weapon. Realistically your opponent is gonna get at least one sec of dot on you in a combat scenario before you have time to react so that's over 2900 additional damage on top of your already hard hitting crit charge. Wow.

I doubt it is, because this is value is already increased by 25% compared to this version, indicating mighty affecting it.

Don't forget this is going to get cut in half in pvp like all other weapon procs so it will only be 7k.

I like the 1 hander. I think the inferno staff mechanic could be better. No one really likes wall of elements.

Chance to drop after completing VET Mode yeah. From what I've been hearing though, it's quite the challenge though some pppl have made it to round 8/9 already on PTS.

You don't think 8 extra damage for Volley is a Typo either? There's no doubt in my mind that the Maelstrom 2H's has a typo as well.

1500 DoT damage sound's way more reasonable. Also 80 damage for the Maelstrom bow also sound's reasonable.

If the tooltip displayed is really 10k+ it's almost necessary for all magicka builds to just run 2h and use crit charge as there gap closer.

I'd be careful for the moment as others have pointed out those tooltip values could be typos.

Sometimes I wish I could log on the EU server and eavesdrop of the player rivalries going on over there. The ones on NA are either bland or have become too predictable

The greatsword is not too powerful. The other weapons need a buff or a reworking. It's that simple.

Even the 189 weapon damage for holding the weapon is too strong. That is better than the best v16 jewerly glyph.

Not really a rivarly or anything. I don't go out of my way to kill him in PvP or treat him any differently to any other player. I just get tired of hearing him talk out of his arse in the forums due to the insane bias he has against Sorcs.

ZOS fixed all the DoTs applying to shields (except bleeds which apparently is intended behaviour) and they treat any non-Bleed DoT that gets purged by shields as a bug, not a feature.

But he still continues to talk crap about shields and dots cause it suits him.

Those destro stats need reworking. I get they are trying to make wall of elements viable but not going to happen via this reward. The time required to farm would not be worth it, also a blatant lazy attempt at reworking destro abilities.

If any thing each staff should be tailored to each element's strength (ice lighting fire).

That's their 50% bonus that they also give on the Willpower/Agility set bonuses.

Seems fair to me.

Both sword sounds pretty interesting TBH.

I'm not a fan of the Destro staves other than the spell power bonus.

That greatsword ...... Why the bloody F can't more DOTs be like that ? Really ? Like 2H cleave skill deals 2,000 something damage over 10 seconds that's garbage but this 14K over 5 seconds now that is a bloody DOT.
