This is the latest response that I have gotten from the Tech Escalation team
Hi There,
That is good(ish) news, it definitely shows that the problem has something to do with the way the Gamertag itself is interacting with our system. Definitely not a long term solution, and clearly there are problems with the fact that you are now linked to the secondary gamertag, not the least of which are that you have now lost ESO Plus benefits(as I would expect, those do stick to the Gamertag) and obviously chat, friends, achievements, etc are going to be associated with your secondary profile.
So, I am going to report all of this up the chain, and see if they can pinpoint the exact problem, but at least we know the general area to look now. For now, unless you think otherwise, I think its probably better to keep the account linked to your secondary account, which should allow you to continue to play while we work this out.
Inevitably, the question here will eventually arise, what to do about the fact that you are now out most of a month of paid ESO Plus. I'd like to help you where I can, but I do want to be upfront that my ability to compensate for that is fairly limited. The Subscription is directly tied to Xbox Billing, so I don't have a lot of control over that in the meantime. One thing you might want to try would be to see if you can get a refund for your current month, and you are free to use this ticket number as a reference if that helps xxxxxx-xxxxxx, and then pick it back up after everything is squared away, but I will leave that up to your judgement for the time being.
Thanks again, and I will follow up with you as soon as I know more.
I hope this will help you all in at least being able to play the characters you all have spent so much time in playing, hopefully the issue can be pinpointed quickly and the necessary actions need to correct it are figured out just as quickly. I will do my best to continue to post in an effort to keep all of you updated as I learn more.
What are the next steps?
Saw this tweet this morning from eso online, hopefully this is the same thing that everyone is experiencing
anyone test yet after me maintenance to see if the latest maintenance did the trick?
to create a new gamertag, (yeah I should have to pay to get a gamertag so I can play the game again for something which they broke

I try to sign in probably 3 times everyday since the IC DLC came out and have tried since the latest maintenance to see if by some miracle I could play the game again but nope no luck.
The customer service is by far the worst I have ever had, So far from the support side I've been told that I need to open my ports (which I said in the original message to which the replied that they were already open and my NAT was open) and to create a new gamertag, (yeah I should have to pay to get a gamertag so I can play the game again for something which they broke).
Other than that I've not been told anything about what's happening etc.
You do not have to pay for another GamerTag. You can have multiple on the same XB1. It will need a separate live.com account for each GamerTag which is also free.

@Balibe
No offense since you are trying to be helpful and all of us so appreciate that.
But why should anyone have to do this? Zeni broke the game with the IC patch.
When I purchase a game I expect it to work. Not me having to work for it to work.
Wasn't sure if this may be related, but did anyone who had this issue have a character currently in rivenspire?

Zos seems to think it's due to a huge blocked player list on xbox live and are still working to resolve the issue. Another player has suggested that you should unblock those players and see if the problem persists, and I have considered doing so, however I chose to block those players for a reason and don't wish to be bothered by them on this or any other game that I play. This also happens to be the only game that I play that having a large block list is an issue in loading. What to do? Do I unblock and see if it works, or do I wait for Zos to come up with a fix?
I think they suggested to create a second gamertag to determine if the issue is with the current character. I don't think they expected anyone to abandon the first character for another..
Alright. My friend happened to have a character in rivenspire that he tried to load first after the patch. Thought maybe it could be part of the problem. He's tried others of course.Wasn't sure if this may be related, but did anyone who had this issue have a character currently in rivenspire?
Rivenspire has issues, the lag is bad and takes forever to load. I been there and left, but stay away until they fix it.
A guildie logged out there last weekend. The next day he was getting the same 303 error at login. He stated it took him an hour of hitting play before the character finally loaded. He left Rivenspire and has not gone back. He has not gotten the 303 error since.
