Is Engine Guardian the best Monster-Set in PvP now?

Guy's, i would prefer a discussion about the 2-Setbounses of these sets. But I know, that many people combine 1 Molag and 1 Bloodspawn.

Just like the combo sorcs of old, I have to say it's just not worth it vs good players. Against zerglings it's amazing, but get into the ring with a competent player and you can kiss your chance regen goodbye. I can't tell you how many times my opponent has blamed their losses on "stupid engine guardian not proccing."

So no to gimmicks.

Yes, everyone should use this. I love running into groups of enemy players that leave little dead robots everywhere. So many free heals for my group.

^^^^ This, I get so excited when I see an enemy use it. Also that is free stamina for the group your casting Repentance for.

Plus, you can interrupt the bot when he shoots his beam out. Is it a good set? Yeah, is it gimmicky and can be shut down? Yup.

It depends on your build.

Telel finds it saves them the trouble of slotting detection potions when fighting other nightblades.

The little happiness beam shot out by the droid shows this one right where to aim their bombards. This is where those who lack this one's level of incomptence end up panicking as they find themselves locked in place, and their own 'uber' set giving away their location.

OTOH it does seem to make certain dragon knights very very obnoxious, and in the right hands it can let a burst build focus more on up front damage over their sustain.

Personally, this one prefers their crafted all nirhoned set for various reasons including sheer laziness.

Personally i think it's not reliable enough, 10% chance on ability means a 1 in 10 chance and then, the chance of it actually regening the stat you need in 1 in 30.

Also like others said vs any half decent player who will bash it immediately, it's not too great.

I prefer using two 2 pieces or other armour myself, Blood spawn + molag is perfect for my stamina dps.

Giving a good player a free bash can be devastating as it unlocks several damage increasing champion passives.

Plus Templars get free heal + stam

Plus good nightblades get free heals from Mark

All in all it is still a good set, especially for a sorc running low on regen stats because he's stacked to the hilt on magicka and spell power.

It's a good set but personally I'd rather rely on raw stats not chance. I'm using Kena for the Spell Power.

Pretty good set, depends on your build.
I still prefer scourge harvester for my mobile selfheal build.
Or blood spawn for my tank.

I like Blood Spawn, personally.. Its like an extra shield plus a faster Ultimate

Skoria is also very, very good... but alas, I have only the shoulders

On my sorc I use 2x Engine Guardian (increased regen), 2x Nerienths (increased aoe dmg) or 1x Molag Kena + 1x Blood Spawn (increased dmg + stam regen) depending on the group setting.

Engine Guardian for solo, Nerienths for sewers/pve and Molag Kena/Blood Spawn for Cyrodiil pvp.

Nerienths is my favorite atm because it procs all the time with crushing shock weave and the dmg boost is decent.

It's good.. If you play against it, you want to interrupt it. yet, it takes quite some time to start the beam after it appears. if your enemy moves, you can only do one of the following thngs:

1) interrupt with crushing shock / psn arrow / stun
2) ignore the robot
3) accept that there will be a gap bewteen you and your enemy

3) is not much of a problem for range builds, however the enemy can also LOS you. Often the gap is beneficial to both or only one player because they can recast defensive stuff. however, the owner of the set decides when there is a gap and when he stays near. if the other one wants to stay near, the beam gets through.

2) makes the set one of (if not THE) strongest set.

1) is the best counter imho. the interrupt skills, not typical stuns which are usually wasted (e.g. frags, meele stuns, magicka stuns on stam builds, etc). however, less and less builds include eihter skill.

It probably could use a little nerf because resource is so important now. From what ive seen there are many monster helms that are never tocuhed. The health you get from enginee guaridan could be considered op now that damage is so low.

Personally enginee guaridan should have a lower proc chance. All the other helms have a very low proc chance.

Also many people are just using 2 seperate pieces of monster sets just for more stat's.

Its easy to counter tho, just many people dont relize you gotta bash the robot.

Interrupt the robot? Is it not kinda mad to attack the robot and waste time and resources on them, meanwhile a good enemy snare, root and CC you? Sounds way to easy..

My guildmates, who using this set, doesn't complain about interrupted robots.

Because 95% of players will let you hard-cast in their face without interrupting you yet alone realize they can interrupt your bot. Your guildmates aren't fighting good players, and as we've explained it isn't a waste of time or resources at all to interrupt bots as they give you a large damage increase on your next attack as well as provide an easy source of resources for many builds.

But like @Kas said, you can try to LoS your enemy to profit from robot. 2nd, not everyone use bow or destro. Not everyone has a range CC on the bar to Interrupt the robot. It seems strong vs melees.

It's a very good set , depending on who you are facing .

I love using mark target on enemy spheres, and ofcourse bash them as much as possible. Giving me a free heal when they expire

To add to that, the bot can't dodge, stealth or, well avoid anything! Makes a great anchor point depending on where its at.

Also good for resource return when it's still kicking.

I find that almost everyone in late game looks the same. Like there seems to only be like 3-6 builds that different people use in endgame. It's kinda boring.

It depends on your build. There are a huge variety of monster sets to use, and I've seen people use from Skoria to Chudan. Engine Guardian is good for magplars and necropotence sorcs/NBs.
