NPC are no real challenge anymore - use firebalistas!

A few days back, I was roaming Cyrodiil Solo, noticing how the gate to Alma Ruma was open, so I went there, hoping to find some friends, as it turns out, it was just me and a bunch of NPC's.

So I got this crazy Idea, could I take the scroll solo? There are lots of NPC's inside the Scroll Temple... after around 30 minutes of testing various things, I figured it out.

So what is needed?
2 firebalistas! That's it!! No need for be any specific class or race!

With those firebalistas, you can easily and safely kill all the relevant NPC's with ranged attacks. You will have to fight some of the NPC's that actually will run to you. and placing the balistas is the most tricky part, as you need to be able to hit some of the NPC's to the sides aswell as the obvious one in the middle. When done, you can simply "walk" inside the temple, pick up the scroll.


So this of course means you need to have some luck, so that no players show up to defend their scroll etc.

But the point is, I could SOLO GRAB a scroll since the NPC's are so weak (1.7 update) and stupid (no healing themselves when taking damage when no enemy player is close to them)


Then I had great luck in bringing the scroll all they way home without any enemies trying to capture it.


So this trick works great on all encounters of NPC's in Cyrodiil, kill NPC's from range with Firebalistas... and you will soon take resources solo this way too... without needing to know lots of skill and having the correct build playing the best class etc, etc.


So what do I want? Fix NPC's being dumb stupid weaklings. You should not SOLO anything Cyrodiil, except enemy players...

Yea... you used to be able to do this with a bow. They increased attack radius of npcs so you cant do that anymore. Siege has always been the way to go to solo resources etc. Or... you know... be a dk in 1.5 or before. Them dudes were well hard

in 1.5 npcs had powerful anti-siege bubbles so you couldn't cheese the flag guards

since 1.6 cyro npcs have been a joke... low HP and they try to attack groups of enemy players with single target CC... they need a serious defensive buff and AoE attacks on par with IC mobs, as it stands now they offer little to no help for outnumbered groups trying to defend against blobs
