What is the point?

Literally, what is the point of v15 stuff? Gold v15 stuff has virtually no advantage over Gold v14 items. Did ZoS just throw v15 stuff in to basically "throw peanuts at people," while they grind the 1000+ items for a full set of armor+weapons?

✭V16 is even more of a joke. 10 times more mats or 10 times more TV stones than V15 gear for only a 1% or so increase in stats?
Stick to V14 gear if you already brought it up to Legendary before IC launched, or go V15 if you want the new sets, but V16 is a colossal waste of mats or TV stones.I'm a man of few words. Any questions?NA/PC server1 -

✭Yes the flaws become even more clear.You can fool some of the people some of the time but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time. Do not forget the reductions to the already existing sets in the game. Much change without change at the same time.
examples
reduced the xp requirement to level increased xp that's a plus and plus. Buff the mobs and give them more life that's a minus minus end result 0 gain. Actually with a longer TTK mobs its a minus gain.
Same philosophy with the armor. All kinds of bad all around along with stealth nerfs and silent changes. My oh my what deceit we see!!

If you didn't actually upgrade, can you like the purple V15 set list. I've got a suspicion it should precisely match the V14 gold... but it'd be worth confirming.3 -

medieval_TOG✭✭✭Its the difference between going from v10 to v14. Most leave it until they get to the end and then upgrade (unless you make it yourself and have oodles of gold and mats to play with). If you have gold V14 leave it until you hit v16 and then upgrade - otherwise it's a waste of mats.Oh so you play on a console? Well this is a console game after-all I suppose.0 -

✭✭✭There's an old saying that goes "every little bit helps" so don't nitpick. Not like you stockpile things and work towards things for no reason. If you feel that way then just don't work toward it and sit around twiddling your thumbs. It is actually far far easier and more profitable to farm loot for decon than it is to farm Tel Var stones as a casual PvEr because of the zergs.
100 stones = 1 mat. But in the time it takes me to gain those stones, I have been able to loot 5x as many items or more that I can deconstruct for the mats I need.

You are basically grinding items for the enchantments and a moderate armor/damage boost.
