Respawn timer

The title is self-explanatory.

What would be your thoughts on adding a timer for respawns?

As an example:
Every time you die, you add 10 seconds to your respawn time (including the first time).

If you die twice in a row, you'll first have to wait 10 seconds, then 20 seconds. You can't wait more then 60 seconds, and every minute, the respawn timer is reduced by 5 seconds.

Tweak the numbers at your leisure, it's the general concept that matters more.

    No, I don't think so, the penalty is more the loss of TV Stones in the Imperial City, whereas it's more the positional loss in the rest of Cyrodiil. I like the change between the two.

    I hated to stone loss rate at first then getting the stone sets the are not worth it to me for what I want to do, he'll just last not I died a farmer solo got 900 stones whispered him and let him kill me for his stones back unless stones play a bigger part in more useful areas they just don't matter.

    Buying mats Why? The bonus change is small the enchants are harder to get and the VR16 gear takes 110 for one piece I'm not farming for stones and deconstructioning armor and weapons for one mat made a VR 15 Hunding's Rage same 5 piece as my VR 14 not worth the time.

    No, because my play time is precious and I already have to wait for load screens, monster spawns, times when Cyrodiil isn't population locked...and depending on where and how I died, I may have to add travel time, so adding a timer on top of that would be redundant as well as needlessly tedious.

    One might be needed, but just in the districts and just for player deaths. I've been in a few 2vXs and as we kill a few of them, they just respawn and run right back. It makes some fights endless. It's like forward camps are back, but this time we can't siege or burn them.

    Just a few seconds before we can release would be good.

    So a fight feels more satisfying if a yet unknown name is printed above the character you just killed? I rather kill the same person multiple times in quick succession than having to wait to play a game. Even 5 seconds waiting is wasted time which sums up very quickly. It's a fine trade-off in my eyes, we already have more than enough down-time with those long loading screens.

    i remember a situation when i my small group just wanted to cross a district to get in another part of the sewers, and we had to kill some 15+ blue group 3 times in succession. They made the same mistakes every time (well I hope they at least learned something in the end) and it wasn't rewarding for us in any way either.

    Still, the solution is adding gated access and district control, a respawn timer just sounds like another band aid since it's not needed with a solution that manages population anyway. Thus, I am against it.

    It's pointless to be killing someone that respawns and is back to fighting you 5 seconds later.

    Unless you want ESO PvP to be like Quake deathmatch.
