Cyrodill light 5 piece Armor bonus- Does it work?

Anyone know if the 5 piece bonus, (reduce incoming damage by 25% when using a spell/casting) actually works?
Is there a way to test it on PS4 to verify?
If it does this seems like it would be pretty powerful in actual combat. thanks!

Works in 1.6 I can tell you that much. 100% damage mitigation whilst in Mist Form.

bet console wishes they had addons :P

your ONLY option is to measure the health bar after someone uses the same attack that does the same amount of damage.....

It works but it really seems finicky, or maybe it doesn't quite cover the full duration of a heavy attack.
