What is the point with AP points? The item rewards suck..

I thought Cyrodill Light armor (probably any armor from the Elite vendors) would be top tier but the Armor trait at level 6 is the "sells for more at merchants" or something to that effect and [snip]. Is there ANY armor or items better than you can find in the normal trade shops that you can use AP on?

Also the only things worth getting are Ravager's Set and the Cyrodiil's Light jewelry set.

You can buy "surprise boxes" from the PvP trader. Most people, I know of, buy medium armor boxes or trinket boxes.
There you'll find set's with the double weapon dmg bonus for 4 pieces (Morag Tong, etc.).
You've to open 20+ boxes (with the right level), so you need to spend 100k+ AP (each box about 7k AP) to find sth. valuable

Shadow and some of the staffs are good twin sisters
