We grind. Look up [insert faction] grind spots. They last toon I made was v14 in 2days 7 hours played. My partner made it in 1day 23 hours. Both with xp pots.

From what I hear, the recent publicized one has been nerfed. Does it matter if I'm alone? I'll take a look, but a lot I see are from a year ago, and I assume since then much has changed.

Primary PvP'rs are diehard until about V5 - V6. Then they realize it's going to take 20 years and a day to get to V14 so they break down and GRIND.

Take a few days off and grind to V14. You'll be glad you did.

I mostly cry in my sleep thinking of the grind.

And pray that ZOS removes the pre-req to get to Cadwell's Silver/Gold zones for alts. Questing makes me sick. It's my single most hated feature in MMO's.

This would be very nice indeed. I ended up in PVP with my toon breaking the chain of my quests. Now, if I go back to progress to the other areas which are in line with my level, I have to carve myself through the questlines 10 levels lower than my character. [sob]

I play the game. Contrary to public opinion, you can actually enter Cyrodiil before reaching V14.

Play a lot of PvP. I got one V14, a V5, a V4 and a V2, one of each class. Whenever I get bored with one I switch to the next.

grind XP spots for leveling and CP,
grind whatever you have to do for gear etc (undaunted pledges, etc)

just always try to be as efficient as possible so that the less-fun-time is well invested.

a fresh char from 1-V14 takes about 2 days of /played time if you hurry and do it as a duo, whereas much faster times are possible if you REALLY optimize to play. ~3days is normal for a duo that is in no particular hurry. of course, leveling undaunted to 9 and having enough shards takes its time as well. either way, I find it worth to invest that amount of time even if I strongly prefer pvp.

likewise, people get about 1.6-1.7m XP/hour if they have teh good spots for their grind duo. Thats just over four CP without enlightment. imho it makes so much more sense to look for this efficient bursts than to worry about XP while actually PvP and maybe ruin your experience by goining back to hand in quests or, god beware, unnecessarily pulling enemy guards for the XP

I play almost entirely PvP. I grinded to vet 5 and couldn't do it anymore. I A vet level per week ljust playing pvp. You don't have to grind to hit 14.

because vet lvling is awefull, pvp in vet areas is sth you either like or hate as it is 10x faster paced than the lullaby pvp of BB

My VR14 main is still struggling through Cadwells. Struggling as in forcing myself to do some slowly because I pretty much ignored PvE except for occasional skyshards from level 20-something through vet levels.

What I plan to do with my alt(s): get to 10, play BWB, decide if I want to keep going past VR1 or reroll..

BWB is fun - but to play there exclusively would be like eating a banana with its skin still on...

Just grind as quickly and get the pain out of the way as quickly as you can. If you can't face it now then by all means hang out in BWB until 1.7 drops in the next couple of weeks as ZOS will undoutably break stuff/spawns and you should be able to use those to level quickly to V14-16 if you get in fast as it always takes them at least a couple of weeks to fix their broken stuff. And to pre-empt any outrage from carebare nubs - no true pvp player considers doing this an exploit or gives a toss if carebear thinks otherwise as its simply a means to get into the real game which for us is killing other players and not poorly scripted ai zombies...

My dedicated PvP character went to Cyrodiil at level 10 (note the lack of VR in front of that 10). I only did the minimal amount of quests needed to progress through the main quest (and mages/fighters guild quests).

She's VR8 now and it has been smooth sailing so far. Haven't even started Cadwell's Gold yet ...

I guess in time spent, it could really only take a day for a vet lvl.

Only real way to measure it is in hours, but that depends on a lot of factors as well. Also, whether you play with magicka or stamina builds will determine how well you can perform also.

In general though, it shouldn't take "ages" to vet up a character through PvP. It's fun and enjoyable, so the time spent doesn't wear down on you.

I'm sure I read somewhere that you'll be able to travel to player to get to gold zones once you've completed the main quest in the next update WITHOUT having to complete silver

    Some PVP for exp
    Some grind for exp
    Some PVE for exp

Think of it like finding a partner

PVP - Shes everything you ever wanted, but she breaks down and just freezes up at large gatherings.
PVE - Shes simple and kind, but she also gave you junk for your birthday and she talks alot.
The Grind - She can go for hours and you will think its the best thing ever, until she ruins it for you and you can never appreciate it again.
