Magicka Sorcs who don't run Bastion builds

Heya, I know there have to be magicka sorcs out there who match this thread title. Just wondering if you could share thoughts and tips on your builds and playstyles. I'm tired of the cheese and would like to hear from the more classic sorcs. Vids would be great too. :-)

I have all my CP turned off except for 30 into The Apprentice. That said, I don't use Bastion

Most of my Warrior CPs are in Elemental Defender and Hardy. I put a few in Bastion out of curiosity - Hardened Ward is at 10,335.

Most of my Warrior CPs are in Elemental Defender and Hardy. I put a few in Bastion out of curiosity - Hardened Ward is at 10,335.

Yeah I play both, a Stam Sorc and a Magicka Sorc. I turned off my CP when people started complaining about them being gamebreaking to prove a point. I kept 30 in The App for the Crit passive, that's it.

I don't use Bastion, even when I did use my CP, I didn't use it. I mean I am sure it helps a little, but having more Magicka seemed far more important so I kept my Magicka around 35k at all times in PvP. Often it was higher than that with Spell Damage sitting around 2700-3k (can't remember the exact). I didn't have any trouble between Healing Ward/Hardened Ward and my Boundless Storm. I mean I died (like everyone else) but I could take a beating just like the defensive built sorcs but I didnt have to sacrifice offensive ability.

Are you talking about PTS or live?

Live, for now. I haven't been excited enough about it to try the PTS.

Those are great stats for your magicka build. Mine aren't as good, lol. I can sometimes take a beating from multiple players and come out OK, but often enough they are tearing down my shields fast enough I need to refresh shields rather than do much damage. Have any tips in that department? :-)

Also, I notice on some folks my frags will hit for 1.8k when normally it should hit for around 7k. I'm guessing that's due to nirn (?) but not sure.
