Are roots considered CC? Cause I've yet to encounter a DK that can 1v1 without spamming those pesky talons, or a sorc with that encase skill. Almost considering running WoE and an ice staff to keep up with the meta. Any info is appreciated..

Well they obviously are a form of cc per definition, but not hard cc, so you can't break it. So it also won't grant cc immunity.
A distinct root immunity may be added at some point, but we'll see.

Haha badass song! There should be a immunity to roots after being rooted. I think that'd work pretty well.

Roots can simply be purged, all builds have access to one or other ability that removes roots, so I see no reason to add an immunity.

So many complaints about skills that have simple counters, people just don't want to change their build to include said counters, so they ask for the skill to be nerfed or removed instead. Not good for the game at all. We'll be left with glass cannon builds with nothing but DPS skills, because nothing else is needed anymore.

if you read the morph for rapid maneuver it removes roots in an aoe and grants immunity to roots idk how long but it does help from it

Edit: don't remember but I believe its retreating maneuver is the morph.

There are several root immunities now in game.

• a 2H rally morph (removes and gives immunity)
• retreating manoeuver (assault line) (removes and gives immunity)
• one of the medium armor skill morph (removes root)

Because getting knocked back for 0.5 seconds after jabs is very useful, hard and strong CC, but Talons are very weak and nearly useless.
