No, I don't .... the system glitched. There was a sign at EB Games that stated it was subscription free and it has been free since I started playing 2 months ago at launch. I am playing it online right now.

ESO was going to be exempt from the PS+ fee (but not Xbox Live) back before we knew it was going B2P. The fact that Microsoft didn't agree to this arrangement probably contributed to the B2P transition. They couldn't reasonably expect people to pay double subscription just to play the game. As it is now, most people already subscribe to console online services for other games, so they don't mind it's a requirement here.

According to the FAQ ESO isn't exempt.

This is pretty much how I think it went down.
As far as i know console player need to pay their live fees as well and sadly ZoS can't do anything about it, blame Sony on that one.

No, blame Microsoft. They're the ones that absolutely require Xbox Gold membership to access ANY multi-player content (including MMO's). Sony doesn't have that requirement (you can play DCUO and FF XIV without PSN plus). ZOS made the decision to make ESO require Gold and PSN Plus to remain consistent. But Sony DOES NOT require it for an MMO.

Hi there,
I know this thread is old but I just can't find an answer neither my posts get answered so pleas take a second for me
I get my ps+ from a friend with the share function so I can technically play online but I don't have all the benefits like the monthly downloads. Eso is the first game I saw that says especially ps plus is required.
So will it work with shared ps+? Multiplayer of course.
It is the only thing why I bother buying it...
Hope you can (and will) help me
