Unlink account

My friend and I share a PS4. We had left it on from the day before we got it so it could download the game. As soon as I saw that it was downloaded, I launched it straight away and began creating my account. It wasn't until I had finished that I realised I was logged into the PS4 as my friend.
This was a problem as the name I had used for my ESO account was my PSN tag. Figuring out what I could do to fix this, I logged into the website and unlinked my ESO account from my friend's PSN.
I then went to relink it to my own PSN but it wouldn't let me. Furthermore, it won't let my friend link a new account to his PSN either. We both keep getting a message saying that 'That User ID has either already been linked to a different Sony Entertainment Network account or this Sony Entertainment Network account has already been linked to another User ID.'
I have contacted customer service and they didnt really give a proper response other than saying that i should make sure my USERID and Password are correct.
