I am currently running a level 17 DK; if I were to join a campaign, does it automatically take my character to a level comparable to others playing? Secondly, if that's the case, do I get allocate points into magicka, health and stamina, and lastly, what about skills that I haven't learned yet, will they be available to use as well? Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer these questions.

Upon joining a campaign, you will be "battle scaled" to a competitive level. This means the you will have a fixed amount of health, magicka, stamina, weapon/spell damage, spell resist and physical resist. The only ways of changing these numbers are racial passives and food buffs. Set bonuses influencing the stats listed above will not work. You do not have the possibility to influence a "distribution" between magicka and stamina.

As to the second question, no you do not get access to abilities not yet unlocked. You will have to fight with only those abilities that you have spent skillpoints in.
