PVP DK magicka build destro. Help!

Lolimsopro
So im running a DK with destro and resto staff.
VR2
All points into health
All cloth. 3 piece of warlock/3 piece of magnus -> going for full warlock set. Enchantments = Increase max magicka.

The thing is, i quit pvp from a while before V rank and played some PVE came back now at V2.
And boy i havent died so much and been feeling SO weak since. Is it because im playing on VR campaigns, seems like the difference is huge.
A sorc can pretty much almost 1 hit me with crystal fragments and whatever their spelled are called.

I dont know, should i skip the resto staff and replace it with sword/board?
If i do do you DKs only skill the passives in that skill line?

Bar 1 sword/board:
Ardent flame ult: Standard of might
Unstable flame
Engulfing flames
Flame lash
Hardened armor
Burning talons

Bar 2 Destro staff:
Earthen heart ult: Corrosive armor
Flame pulsar
Flame reach (knockback)
Coagulating blood
Force pulse

I have all the passives, everything is IV and skill lines are 50.

Since im started to dying alot ive been experimenting alot, and i just feel lost, i dont really know what works anymore.
Any builds or tips are much appreciated. Thanks!

With full light you're going to be dying a lot unless you shield stack. I would suggest stacking the DK shield along with the Light armour shield and trying to keep them active at all times. Keep Green Dragon Blood on your bars and use that immediately after shield for the healing buff.

Sword and shield is useful as you can charge in, flame lash then again to life steal as your target will be stunned due to the charge. Don't expect to be able to block many attacks without some reduce block cost passives and enchants though.

Drop corrosive armour (useless for non-stam build) and pick up the leap morph with shield instead. Drop coag and get GDB for the stam - invaluable in pvp.

Even with the shields, in current ESO u still can't expect to be able to rush into the zerg and not die very quickly. I would probably drop pulsar as you will die quickly in situations u can use it. Instead try and pick players off when they are away from the pack.

This is dont understand: "I would suggest stacking the DK shield along with the Light armour shield and trying to keep them active at all times."

Other than that, thanks, i'll try it out!

I think he is suggesting you use both Annulment and Spiked Armor.

I recommend at least 2 pieces of heavy armor as well.

Sword and board will help you take less damage so it is probably a good idea too.

Unfortunately VR2 is a very weak level, and the only way to strengthen is to get all your skill points and advance to VR3 as quickly as possible.

When I was at that level, I played a support role -- I used a resto staff to heal others with Grand Healing and Regeneration. You'll be hard pressed to take a front line role even though DK is basically a tank class.

Yeah, im using all 3 at the moment, annulment, igneous shield, spiked armor. The mana drops pretty quickly "spamming" those.

My major dps spam attack is force pulse and flame reach, the range is pretty awesome.
I usually just switch back to my sword board bar to recast my armor boost spells.
Do you think coagulating blood is better choice than GDB since you say i should get rid of stamina morphs?

You should not mix stamina and magicka damage skills currently, because they scale on different resources, making your build inefficient.
Wether you should choose Green or Coagulating Blood depends on wether you usually have the stamina regen buff from potions up, since they don't stack, and wether you want to rely on them.
The 20% stamina regen buff is surely more important than 8% healing taken.

You are going to get Rekt a lot as a low level cloth wearing DK. You will get Rekt a lot as a high level cloth wearing DK.

You don't have the mobility or burst DPS to pretend you are a sorc. The best magic DKs I have seen use 5 piece heavy armor (with spell power), hold block whole casting stuff with sword and shield, and are vampires as it is the only way to get mobility (mist form). I don't know what these builds will do in 1.7 when "blockcasting" will take a huge nerf. But for now, they are good.

As a V2, I wouldn't blow a lot of resources finding the best gear because it will be obsolete soon, but check out some guild traders and look for level 45 or so versions of this set :http://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Storm+Knight's+Plate+Set. Or maybe craft a magnus or seducer heavy set. Try wearing 5 piece heavy 5 piece warlock (vr1 ring, ring, neck + 2 light piece). That should give you magicka sustain + protection of heavy. As a v2, you still will get Rekt, but this will aid survivability.

As other have noted: Dragon fire scales is required, not optional, and I would always keep igneous shield up.

Corrosive Armor is almost pointless for magic builds, slot dragon leap (the morph that gives you a shield) instead. Banner is probably the best PvE ultimate, but it is not easy to use in Cyrodiil. If you drop one, I will simply move out of it and you just blew 250 ultimate which you could have used for 2 dragon leaps instead.

DKs won't be able to do much small scale combat after the patch, just like Templars can't. Sorcs take a huge blow to their mobility too, but their shield stacking capacity remains unnerfed, and with the huge burst they do they usually don't have to escape unless they are spotted by a zerg.

Did i forgot to mention i just turned into a lvl 10 vamp yesterday. im using the morphed mist form that gives +40% movement speed.

Just in cases like this :) I was using crafted seducer/magnus set 4/5 pieces with staffs included, now i started to find the warlock robe, shoulders, hat in V zones, so i swapped some pieces out, but your opinion made total sense.

As other have noted: Dragon fire scales is required, not optional, and I would always keep igneous shield up.
Yea, ive started to spam dragon fire scales, running close to the walls and all of them NB firing back hard.

But yes, atm im using dragon leap on 1st bar and bat ult on 2nd bar to lvl it up.
    Thanks!
