We are POTION.
We are looking to change the social aspect of this game on console.
We are the originators of "Trivia Night in Tamriel", where we go into area chat as a group and have a bit of fun asking trivia questions and give away decent amounts of gold for correct answers. The response has been overwhelming. People stopping us and declaring "This is so much fun, Thank You", or "You guys are brilliant and I really appreciate someone actually having fun in this game".
Lets face it, the fidelity of in game chat is rather bad and most sane players w/decent headsets would rather hang out in PSN Party chat.
However, three to four times a week, POTION grins and bears it and enters the horrendous land of mic trolls, trading mantra monks (the guys who just repeat what they need or what they want) and iPhone headphone/mic electro bees to bring you quality entertainment and a bit of a laugh.
The key to our trivia is our "stage work".
Dealing w/that ONE GUY and getting him to disable troll mode so the rest of the participants can have fun.
There's always one...just one.
So, if you ever hear the infamous catchphrase "Off of the quest line and into the mage light, it's that time of the night...its TRIVIIIIIAAAA IN TAMRIEL"!!!
That's POTION. Giving away gold to lower lvl players, interacting and getting to know the community and gathering complete strangers under the banner of "Look guys, we know the social aspect of the console version is a bit lacking, (actually quite a bit lacking) but we can find ways to make this game a bit more bearable".
As far as guild invites go, we usually hand them out to the cream of the crop. People we've interacted w/in game at one of our trivia events.
We have a roster of players that all have specific roles: Dungeon group co-ordinators, Crafting experts, Marketplace and Guild Trading gurus as well as new player/pve question answer-ers. Pvp exists as well, but through an affiliated guild, not POTION proper.
Where do we do trivia? Since we're primarily an AD guild, mostly its the lower lvl "hangouts" for the faction. Vulkhel Guard and the Elden Root tree (upstairs as well as downstairs as well as a third-round finalist secret location outside the tree w/an amazing view).
A perk to POTION membership is an updated schedule to Trivia Night time/location.
Now that I hopefully have your attention, we also have several projects in mind for the future of POTION. Like, duh...Potions. Specifically, the Psijic Ambrosia on console. It's our desire to be the first guild selling in-game crafted PA. We're already hard at work stacking mats and getting guild mate participants up to speed w/their Provisioning. There's a slew of other ideas that we still haven't fully realized but are working on.
The point is, we're an "outside the box" kind of thinking guild. Granted, we picked the most generic name POTION, but we feel its simplicity kind of says it all. Besides, the first guild we created "QUESTIONABLE MEAT SACK" on our initial Ebonheart characters was already taken. Bonus 20 awesome points if you can cite that reference....
We can be reached via our PSN's : EcruteakCity , ballSFunky .
Send us a msg and tell us why we would benefit from knowing you. Cheers.
