Trying to start a proper community on Xbox

Hey everyone,

over the past few weeks I've joined a few different guilds. The lack of communication on consoles, as opposed to how I experienced the game on PC, drove me to these guild forums in search of a friendly and mature community to enjoy the game with. So far, I've been unlucky in finding one. There was little to no communication in the guild voice chat in any of said guilds, perhaps most of their active players are in their own private Xbox party. If that's the case, then in my opinion that's quite a shame. I would like to see an ESO community being run on the game itself and not through Xbox's own chat functions.

This led me to opening this thread, to see if there's likeminded players who would like to start a guild of our own. I'm looking for people who have the intention of using their headsets in the game's guild voice chat and be an active part of a community. Mature, friendly and social players who want to be in a guild for the sake of community and not just feel like they're being added there to increase the number of players on the guild roster.

At the moment I haven't actually started a guild yet, I'd first like to see if there's any interest in this sort of thing on Xbox at all. If so, I'm planning to make it an Aldmeri based guild on (obviously) the Xbox One EU megaserver with English as the main language. I'll also be looking for a few players to help me run the guild.

If this is something that interests you as well, send me a message on here or leave a post in this thread. I'm sure we can work out the guild's details and get this thing going. Cheers.

I'd be game for that mate! Had similar problems in finding people that actually communicate.
I'm AD, from the UK and as mature as a uni student can be :P

I'd like to join to join you in this guild iv had the same problems and I even tried to start my own guild but it unfortunately didn't work out as the members made no contribution to the creation of a great community.

I'm from the UK and I'm also Aldmeri Dominion, and I think I'm mature enough ;)

Ha, quite funny that both of you guys responded. Two of the several guilds I joined were yours, because the description of them really stood out to me. I've noticed that both of them had quite a lot of members, but very little communication among them. The idea behind both of your guilds is great, I think we just have to find a way to make it work.

Last weekend I've spoken to a few guys on Xbox who were also complaining about the guilds they were in, for the exact same reasons as we've just stated. So I'm sure there is more people out there who would like to form a guild with a real sense of community.

Perhaps we should focus on building a small, but active and dedicated core first. We shouldn't necessarily add a lot of players just for the sake of it. I think it would be best to start with a small group and only add those who want to be a part of the community and actively participate in it.

We'll give it a go, gents. I'll start the guild today and add both of you guys on there. Since you're both (former) guild leaders, I would much appreciate it if you guys would help me run it. Hit me up in the guild chat when you're on, so we can talk things through.

Mmhm yes my guild really didn't work out, no one would even join the voice chat let alone actually use it, we also had a lot of people who would join and leave the next day,

I'm not that experienced with running guilds but I'd love to help you with it.

I've just left a guild for these reasons little to no chat, no sense of community and the roster expanding before people can get to know one another.

I'd have been interested in joining you but sadly I play ebonhart, 2 veterans so quite commited. Anyway good luck and hope u pull it off.
  • GB_Panther
Well, whats the point in trying to start this if your just going to kick me within hours of me joining for no apparent reason,

it doesn't matter then im going to try and make my own guild again.
  • Tequila317
We have a guild that you would like I think, Monster Priest there is a part of it, we are new and are finding our feet. Only problem is that it is a mainly Ebonhart Pact guild, however, have a think about it anyway.

I too was the same, which is why I created British Mercenaries. Started a couple of months ago, we now have 70 members and have started a 2nd guild for PvP players. We also have just started a BF4 branch too!

If interested, head on to our website http://britishmercenaries.enjin.com/recruitment and fill in an application form!

Honestly, the best way to go about finding a great guild is by playing with each other, no guild , just get to know one another like if you are taking a group on a date t hr ought ESO and all it has to offer, that's how Team Slug came to be, we all meet in area chat in Azuras star and friends up, kept poping on around the same time and we enjoyed each others company to the point where we have become quit the close knit guild that even has its own Swedish mascot that plays abba as we charge into battle..... just food for thought.
