I always wondered. What would you guys need to get hands on the content of past games? Is it a legal issue? And I know I kind of kick a hornets nest with that idea, but, you definitely should bring Michael Kirkbride back. And let him make some sweet Morrowind related content.
I can't say I agree with that, I think Vvardenfell would be a better choice, besides that... MORROWIND NOSTALGIA!!!
I've never liked Skyrim (both the game and the territory). I'm not a big fan of snowy landscapes, especially if they are influenced by Norse mythology, then it becomes a torture for me.
I would prefer if ZOS add either Vvardenfell or a new zone that has never appeared in the previous games before, while leaving the classic nostalgia territories for expansions or high level content.
When we see Summerset, I hope Alinor and Cloudrest are huge, and well developed. Cities that are fun, and make me want to call them home when I'm not questing.
"Except the story about the bear. That one's true."
For anyone who's interested, back before launch, the Alliance Map on the official website had zone borders on it. I annotated a copy of that map which I have up on UESP, and labelled all the zones. Here it is (zone code key is inside the spoiler tag; I also added a couple of missing border lines):
AL Alik'r
AN Anequina (Reaper's March would traditionally contain some of Anequina, but this name is in the text files; this area includes the Rimmen city area)
AU Auridon
BE Betnikh
BF Bal Foyen
BI Bleakrock Isle
BK Bangkorai
BW Blackwood (as seen in Oblivion)
CL Craglorn
CH Colovian Highlands (also could be West Weald)
CY Cyrodiil
DE Deshaan
EM Eastmarch
FA Falkreath (as seen in Skyrim)
GC Gold Coast (as seen in Oblivion)
GL Glenumbra
GS Greenshade
GW Grahtwood
HJ Hjaalmarch (as seen in Skyrim)
KR Khenarthi's Roost
MM Murkmire
MT Malabal Tor
NB Nibenay Basin (as seen in Oblivion, although the text files just calls this Nibenay, which is inaccurate)
NV Nibenay Valley (as seen in Oblivion)
PA The Pale (also includes the Winterhold area)
RE The Reach (also includes the Haafingar area)
RI The Rift
RM Reaper's March
RS Rivenspire
QR Quin'rawl (from the text files, although that says Quin-rawl, which is incorrectly punctuated)
SF Shadowfen
SH Stormhaven
SM Stros M'Kai
SO Solstheim (as seen in Bloodmoon, Dragonborn)
SS South Summerset (No source for name, I made it up; could be called Alinor since that is in this area)
ST Stonefalls
SU Sunforge (from the text files)
TE Tenmar (from the text files, this area includes the Corinthe city area)
TI Topal Island (from the text files)
TM Thornmarsh (as stated in the Loremaster's Archive)
VH Velothi Highlands (the northwest Morrowind area with Blacklight, but the in-game map doesn't currently allow for the correct geographical shape)
