New Templar Stamina build idea....will this work at all?

All stat points into health. 7 Heavy with +stamina enchants and Stamina set bonuses. Accessories using reduced stamina cost but with +Health enchants.

Bar 1 weapon 2H

Bar 2 weapon 1h/s primarily for defensive stance.

Vampirism for bat swarm and mist.

Main DPS would be biting jabs and 2H weaving, reverse slash for the execute. Of course the basics like shields and purge etc.

Would this be viable or am I giving up too much dps going into health and heavy..

Was debating on swapping 1hs for bow....but I want to stay away from the bow since it seems many use it. I want to be a bit different.

Stop where you are and try this bro

    http://tamrielfoundry.com/topic/jabsmania-templar-stamina-dd-build-for-update-1-6/

Highest sustained DPS build in the entire game right now, apparently dk fire mages can actually pull higher dps in fights shorter than 40 seconds, but for longer periods of time, so mobs, bosses, etc, stamina templar destroys, and for AoE its no argument that this build is the most powerful.

Though as a heads up, if you want to do PvP more with this build, just use 2H instead of DW

I have attempted this build but it is mainly for small to medium group play. Utility isn't so well with it. I'm looking for a decent solo build so I can survive 2-3 attackers even if I have to evade. But in turn I'd like to take them all on and laugh on their graves if possible.

It's a good duel build. Try it out. I'm using something similar for a long time(since december) With 1.6, the fact that people forgot investing into health and defence, even your low damage will be enough to kill people. You can perfectly win vs all 4 classes even vs good players but good sorcs with shield spam are pain though. But that's same for everyone :p

5 heavy and 30k health with drinks will be enough I guess, don't invest more. Invest cost reductions, regen, weapon power and some stamina instead and spam blazing shield. And use Wrecking blow over jabs with sharpened maul. I dont recomend vampirism but its good for solo roam as for escape ability, but worst thing for duels. And things like sharpened dual maces will be also pain. Avoid fighting with them, it is broken obv.

High hp and heavy armor alone isnt enough def.

possible def abilities for templars are mag heals, stam heals, blazing shield, block, dodgerolls

mag heals - dont work with ur setup
stam heals - can work but are not enough
blazing shield - doesnt synergy with heavy armor
block - dont work with ur setup as a 2h dd
dodgerolls - dont work with ur setup

    so def? uhm no

heavy armor is a good choice for a mag healer or a blocking tank.

the only viable def choices for ur stam templar are blazing shield or dodgerolls combined with stam heals.

U could try something like 5x Warlock (3x jewelry) + 5x med armor + regen drink with ~3k hp as imperial, best hybrid build i played on my templar. Thats a good solo build, if u wanna run in a group/zerg, a straight med armor dps build is better.

Are you trying to tank? If so, stick with heavy. If you're DPSing, maybe go for some medium for that extra stamina. Also, that "Jabsmania" build a previous poster linked you to is really worth checking out.

Why not go Werewolf instead of Vampire as a stamina Templar? Something to think about.

All your stat points into health? Good I suppose, for a tank that is. But for DPS, I'd respec and drop them all into stamina. Put a few health enchants on your armor/jewelry if you feel squishy. You're going to want to maximize your stamina in order to maximize your damage output. Besides, you won't need all that health if you can kill things quicker. Blazing Shield, Rally (2h skill, morph of Momentum), and Vigor (Assualt skill line, Cyrodiil) should be enough to keep you alive.

I'd personally drop 1h/shield, unless you want to tank. 1h/Shield does mediocre damage; you'd be better off with DW (that Steel Tornado...) for melee or Bow for ranged. I know you cited wanting to be "different" as your reason for nixing the bow as a possibility, but honestly it shouldn't matter what other people think/use. Don't let that influence you. There are only two ranged options in this game (staff or bow), so of course everyone with a stamina build is going to use a bow. It's inevitable. Also, if you think about it, 2h is arguably the most popular melee weapon out there right now; it seems everybody's using that as well. Nobody can judge you for your weapon choices; it's your player style that makes you unique.

    Hope that helps
