Skills lag or don't fire off in first person mode (fine in 3rd person)

i've noticed after playing a while that in first person mode my templars skill biding jabs i believe it is the morphed first skill in the spear tree will lag or just not fire at all in first person mode. i can't understand why and it just seems to happen randomly. i'll sometimes switch to 3rd person and i never have this issue with the skill. not sure if it does with other skills but it is highly noticeable with the templars first skill in their spear tree i have it morphed to biding jabs i believe it is called.
before i made this post i was just outside alone pressing Square which is the button used for the skill and it would just sometimes take a second or not even go off at all, i switch to 3rd person it doesn't lag or anything... it seems to be some sort of issues with first person mode. and no it is not because i am out of stamina... it only happens in first person mode.
