Please buff revealing flare

I think with the upcoming changes we may need this ability to be better, a larger radius would be great. It also needs to work against invisible

I'd also love a morph that is centered on and moves with the caster (like a buff, think of it like a torch looking for stealthers/invis)

I love that cloak is finally getting some much needed fixes, but I think if someone is willing to put this ability on their bar it should be useful, currently it is not very good.

I also think radiant magelight should have a bit of a distance increase.

This is all dependent on potions no longer working vs invis. (which I support)

Flares should have a bigger radius and much longer burn time. They're super obvious and very easy to avoid.
For magicka sorc, it's totally worthless. We can just spam lightning flood for cheaper cost and it lasts a whole 6 seconds.

    Agree this skill is terrible.

I like the idea of a buff that moves with the caster. I´d sacrifice 1 slot for pesky stealthers but i just can´t justify two slots for radiant magelight atm (and i don´t think i will in the future).

    Agree this skill is terrible.

Considering it is geared towards revealing stealthers, it is funny how much better Caltrops is for this purpose.

IMO Caltrops and Revealing Flare should have their duration and radius swapped.

If the time it takes to cast (throw) the flare is longer than it takes to travel (in stealth) half its radius, then ability is worthless. And it costs 3 times more than it should.

    Great concept, horrible execution.

I've never understood why this skill doesn't have the radius of caltrops.

That and no tell. How is that skill in any way useful if every Tom, Richard and Harry can evade it before it is useful? Well, it is uber for those stealth afk idlers, I have to admit....

One morph doesnt stay on the ground, but burns stealthers if you ever hit them.
The other morph stays on the ground and reveals stealthed enemies if they walk in the circle.
Both morphs prevent restealthing for like 8 seconds or something.

To make these viable, as there effects are just fine, they need to quadruple the Radius and speed up the animation air time considerably.

I fooled around with both these morphs for about a week, i cant to the conclusion that NB can still hit you from stealth even if you stand in the lingering flare morph. I found that once a NB is invisible and you try to hit them with the flare, that animation time is so slow they are are already off and gone or just watching where the flare is landing and avoid it.

I could never hit anyone with the Burning Flare ever except once and the burning effect did nothing to the NB's health bar.

These skills are worthless and need to be adjusted for the fast pace combat that is PVP.

From what I have seen there is two states in this game, stealth and invisible and they are different, I have seen players take an invis pot in the flare and poof gone again, just like with detect pots they have no problem seeing some one in the standard stealth, but take an invis pot or cloak and gone again. I think the descriptions should be a little more detailed, but I rarely see anyone using flare these days it juts lacks functionality.

Lingering Flare would be way better if it didn't take so long to place. They need to give it the same placement speed buff Volcanic Rune got a while back.

I'll add that it needs to work vs invisible also.. because it really should.

Funny thing is that the damage morph is actually a DoT which NBs can shake off by stealthing.. sometimes it puzzles me how they come up with these skill designs.

Anyway even if the skill was somewhat useful, it have to get a decent boost to be worth taking up 1 slot on the limited action bar!
