50% reduction in damage + heals, Shield stacking remains unchanged.

So you may think shield stacking is bad for gameplay currently, wait until the next update where sorc shields take twice as long to go down. With debuff to actuall healing dropping shields will now become best defence in Cyrodiil.

    Very wrong. Probably what ZOS was thinking though.
    This change means it's extremely easy to hold up your buffs and recover from any burst, now finally using the full potential of your so far mostly unused heals. Just look at the overflow heals when spamming heals to make sure you dont get bsurted down because you had only 80% hp.
    It's an extremely dumb change, and one of many, sadly.

    How does it follow that an increase to the healing de-buff from 15% to 50% helps make combat longer?

    Except the health bars aren't changing....
    So Sorcs for example will do 50% less dmg against targets already wearing full nirn. On top of that, they rely on shields and mobility to make up for the *** squishiness 7/7 light armor makes them.

    I didn't see any notes on adjusting nirn, it has to scale the same as the dmg nerf in order for your statement to hold truth.

    That's the point, longer ttk. It's a good change, maybe stacking damage wont be the only way to go

    There ARE no notes yet...

    Nirnhoned will work like reinforced, only for it's respective armor piece.

    You clearly didn't pay attention. As others have said, they are also reducing shield size by 50%.

    In terms of hardened ward for example, instead of providing an additional 60% shield relative to max health it will now only provide something like 30%. That's a pretty major difference considering sorcs don't have any burst heals like DK and temp and bolt is now less viable than the NB's cloak abilities..

    Before the Temp/DK/NB players chime in I should point out that the shields have zero spell/phys resistance and sorcs have to wear light armour in order to be able to do any kind of damage.

    Haha i knew that having 3 vr14 classes was a good idea, they cant nerf everything :) Im just seek n tired fighting with nerfs, Ill just float with the current ;)
