http://court-of-thorns.enjin.com/The Court of Thorns: Summary Overview - The Court of Thorns are an elusive and mystical order with a varying assortment of characters. Their lair, albeit widespread, appears to congregate at Ravenwatch Castle and its associated grounds. The Court's purpose appears transient -- focused on the most pressing matter at any given time. Generally however, the Court seeks to protect their own; offering a safe haven for those in dire need.
The Three Vines – There are three fundamental branches of the Court known as the ‘Vines of the Rose’. Each Vine is dedicated to specific speciality which benefits the Court and its encompassing members (detailed below). Each Vine is headed by a single member of the court who often is the most accomplished member of that specialism. These are referred to as ‘The Roses’ who each take an element of Court colours for their title e.g. The Gilded Rose. These members oversee the entire operation of their Vine reporting only to the ‘Silent Rose’ – the leader of the Court of Thorns.
The Nameless - is the first Vine of the Court which is dedicated to the tracking and more often than not assassination of various targets. They act as scouts and informants to the Silent Rose and find themselves conducting sensitive business. They are referred to as the Nameless due to the initiation process were one abandons their birth name, taking a title appropriate to their method of working. It is unknown how many of these exist but one thing is for certain; a black rose found beside you is a sure sign you have been marked for death. This Vine is not Vampire specific and mortals can often be found within their ranks. They are led by the Obsidian Rose.
The Ashen Knights - Is the most historic Vine of the Court. Unlike the Nameless they are far closer knit as their main responsibility is to protect all vampire sympathisers and vampiric members within the Court. In order to do so they are often a higher generation vampire and are all members of the Rose Bloodline. They possess that which is most rare in Nirn -- honour, and are often sighted guarding the Castle and its grounds. They consist of three ranks: the Blood Rose who is the leader of the Vine, the Rosemen who are the general guards, and the Thornguard who are bodyguards to higher ranking members of the Court. Only mortals are eligible to join the Ashen Knights; who are then turned into vampires of the Rose Bloodline.
The Confessors - are the third and final Vine of the Court. Often viewed as the 'enlightened ones' due to their level of intellect. Because of this, they are often called upon to assist in decision making processes when the Roses are unable to decide upon an appropriate course of action. One of the chief responsibilities of a Confessor is truth seeking through magical means. They conduct interrogations, hold disciplinary hearings, and engage in all manner of scholarly and magical pursuits. Their activities are overseen by the Gilded Rose -- the leader of the Confessors.
The Court of Thorns: OOC Goal - The Court aims to provide its members with a fun, social and interactive roleplay experience. You can expect roleplay that strongly emphasises character progression and forwarding the overarching guild story. The guild has been organised in such a way where members across the hierarchal rank system are encouraged to roleplay together, thus facilitating an enjoyable and inclusive roleplay experience.
