From what I heard for some reason you included the day 1 patch which I already predownload and to make it worse the actual patch was only 500 megs why would you do something like this!

It was not intentional and they are working on ensuring it doesn't happen for future patches. There is a large megthread on the topic, as well Gina posted a sticky thread.

I hope this is fixed ... I have a 50G per month data plan that is throttled when I get over the 50G ... ESO already blew the data cap with the first download + update. I had to activate a temporary increase in data to be able to get the current patch and continue to play without unreasonable latency.

@HisShadowX ... no one owes us anything, but you are right a courtesy gesture for the major teething problems of launch and still unresolved problems would go a long way to relieve the angst of the large player base

Intentional or not, it should NEVER have been done this way. A huge fail on zos part which has p**sed loads of players off, following after all sorts of post launch issues too.
