Any one experiencing an extremely long download time?

I have a 34.5 mb download speed connection but showing 24 hours for the download??? Why is it so slow I have never had an issues downloading any other content?

I would suspect that it's due to their upload capacity and the volume demand of the user base.

Same here, it started with 88 minutes left and now it slowed down. Now sitting at 6 hours left.

I am as well roughly 200KB/s.

Just checked my download and upload speed, 35 down 5 up.

It seems to go a tad quicker if I put the ps4 in rest mode.

I usually download games and updates at 5 -7 megs a second.

this would normal take 2 or 3 hour if server give us normal speed i update games erlier about that size took about 2 or 3 hour. and now it say 15 hour this is sick,

Down to 33 minutes cleared my leases on my router rebooted it and seemed to work don't know why it worked but it did

it's downloading very very slow with me 49 hours left, this is ridiculous. I wonder if the updates are hosted with sony or externally with the game publisher. on my pc i can download at 3 megabytes per second. Ps4 says 29.6 mbps download speed. If i compare this to the downloads of other games this is going extremely slow. i'm in europe.

I bought this last Friday, where it spent hours updating 15.8 gb (not good when your keen to try out a new game) and now less than a week later it is spending hours updating another 15.8 gb. Can someone tell me if it does this every week? Only I don't get to play it often, and when I finally get a whole evening to play the game and I find I can't play it all evening, it's a little bit frustrating!

i just resetted my router as well and now it says 1 hour i can see it going a lot faster.hope this speeds stays the same

at 8 this morning i started the download and it said it'll take 4 hours.. 4 hours later it says 4 hours. It was down to 90 minutes, but then it jumped back up to 4 hours, and after about 10 minutes it'll jump back up for 11+ hours... seriously?? and i'm on a 100mbps connection, and i always get 80-100+mbps when i do a speedtest, but on PSN i only get 15mbps... somethings wrong with this picture

only seemed to help for a short while here, it downloaded 4.5 gig's rather fast but then all of a sudden back to 60 hours resetted my router again but this time it did not help

Downloaded the day 1 patch in just under 3 hours, this same size patch 36 hours estimated. Something wrong here.

Now it jumped back up to 5 hours... I been turning my PS4 off and on and it seems to speed it up a lot but then it slows back down again. I reset my modem and it speed back up but slowed down again. Where are the servers located so i can do a speedtest from where I am to there??

Just reset the PS4 again and now i got 80 minutes left...It seems the only way for me to keep doing fast downloads is if i keep restarting PS4 every 10 minutes...

It has been suggested that stopping then starting the download a couple times may fix this problem for some people, not really sure why this issue has been popping up
Additionally you can reset your router, which again, may fix the issue.

Mine had 60 minutes left and now its increasing a minute every so many seconds... Looks like i'll have to turn off PS4 for 30 seconds again and continue the download. It jumped from 60 to 67 within the minute i posted this

I have a 100mb Virgin Media internet speed, I have now got a 99+ hours download time, I understand the servers are getting hit by the amount of players downloading this so called Patch, but I am sure they could feed the hamster a bit more to boost their own Internet speeds?
Oh wait its gone down to 87 hours now phew thought I had along wait on my hands then.....

Hey, maybe my internet is just crazy. But I used the Google DNS, and I got 60+ hours. Also tried some of this forum but then I got stuck with 99+ hours. I decided to try the standard easy (automatic) setup for a change and now I'm back to 4 hours and I've got the feeling it's speeding up.

My advise: Try the easy set up also. It just might work!

pff it still has not downloaded with me i had to go out yesterday evening and let pc in rest mode i got home today after work and it still had only downloaded 10 gig. I tried pausing resetting changing dns servers and only helped for a short amount of time it downloaded 3 gig rather really fast and now it's back stuck on 14 hours for the last 2 gigs. Nothing i try seems to help anymore getting seriously pissed though. On a side note it seems this is not related to eso specifically other people are reporting the same thing and on a dutch sony related news website there was a heading that sony will be investigating the slow download speeds

i've set up a proxy server on my pc and let the pc connect to the internet using my proxy server. I can now cleary see what kind of speeds i'm getting and it's only 100-200 KB/sec ffs
