I don't understand why do you patch NA servers and do maintenance during late morning times?

Is your team based in an area where it's later or something? I don't understand why this can't be done at least 100 or 200am CENTRAL OR EDT?

Popular MMOs should not patch or do maintenance during waking hours unless it's necessary maintenance which means an emergency.

I understand 200am is waking hours for Europe but seeing the consoles have made ESO popular it's better not to upset your largest paying customers you don't want to drive them away like what Bioware did with SWTOR.

It's done this way so that there are the fewest players on when you have staff in the office. Doing it at 8 am means that you have a decent amount of staff there in case anything goes wrong, and so you're not keeping staff there until 1 or 2 am and paying them overtime to keep costs down.

Most MMOs do something very similar.

Any time they do maintenance is going to impact someone, there's really no avoiding that. So why not do it when most of your player base is asleep, at school or work, or otherwise not playing?

I work third shift, so it works out for me, cause I usually am up at night. XD

So some enforced time away from a console is a bad thing ?
Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.
