Imperial dragon knight battle tank build...

iEatDamage
Im new to this game and i would like to battle tank in eso. I picked the imperial dragonknight due to the perks it has. But im not sure as to what to put my skill points into what moves. It doesnt seem to have many pulls. Thanks in advance for the help.

I am completely new, so please take whatever I say with a grain of salt. I am only level 43 but I am also an Imperial Dragonknight Tank (double sword and board). The skills I find most useful for actual tanking (not questing) are the following:
    • Green Dragon Blood. Love it. It is a heal when I am low on health and gives me stamina regen.
    • Furious Leap w/ the morph that gives you a damage shield. I have solo'd dungeon bosses when my team went down only because of this ability.
    • Hardened Armor. This is a morph of another skill I can't remember but helps by increasing your magic and physical mitigation.
    • Choking Talons. I selected this over the one that does damage over time because I would rather have 4 NPCs doing 15% less damage then a DoT.
    • Chain Pull - really useful for saving group mates who are being chased by that guy with a 2H weapon. I'm still learning who is the most dangerous, so this comes in handy when I do not make the correct decision.
    • Defensive Stance - I love this skill because it takes very little stamina to cast, reflects back, but also stuns the caster.

There are some other ones I use but I cannot remember them at the moment.

Without hijacking iEatDamage's thread, I'm interested in a question about stats. I'm level 43 and I have dumped all of my points into Health. I find myself extremely hard to kill but the problem is, even when being conservative on skills/abilities, I am constantly running out of magicka. Stamina is not an issue because I have some passives to help but I cannot for the life of me stop from running out of magicka. I have geared up with as much +max magicka and +magicka recovery as possible but it doesn't help.

Does it get better down the road or at some point should I respec and put points into Magicka? Please answer iEatDamage's question as well ;p I don't want to hijack the thread but I figured this information might help him as well (and me!).

Magicka based tanks are the best way to go because of igneous shield and green dragons blood

Yeah I feel ya. I just went with what gave me the most survivability, while having some abilities to CC NPCs who I am not taunting. I've tanked a lot of MMOs in my day and for this game I had to get out of the mindset of attempting to aggro everything in the room, just not possible. I tank 1-2 mobs, the ones I think are the most deadly, then I try my hardest to CC the rest so my group can clean them up.

You will get a enough skill points to try all of the Dragonknight skills and you can always respec later down the road. Hopefully someone will come along with an actual build but with all the options, I dunno if there is "the one build".

Now what weapon would yall reccomend i use the shield and one handed currently cause i wanna block and do some damage since i wanna battle tank. Or is battle tanking a weaker tank then say a healer tank or a straight tank.
