How does 2 hand tanking work?

Hi, I've seen a few posts recently that say "for large groups use 2 hander for tanking". I understand using brawler spam for the damage shield to keep me alive but not sure how, without a taunt,I could keep the mobs off my group. If it helps I'm a stamina based redguard templer using 2 handed sword and sword and shield.

You typically keep groups away from teammates with CC, not straight taunt. I'm not sure what options are available to templars, but from non-class abilities, something like Caltrops or Volcanic Rune helps. When you need to taunt a big hitter or a caster, use Inner Fire, a ranged taunt from the Undaunted line.
