Should nightblades refreshing shadow passive be toned down a bit?

My main is an Imperial templar and when running a stam build I use 5 skirmisher, 4 shadow walker, and 1 bloodspawn. This set up gives me about 1700-1800 stam regen (on my repentance bar and I am a vampire because templars have no mobility) and i can reach 3k weapon damage flat. When I logged onto my brothers khajiit stamina nightblade he is able to achieve MORE stam regen without having any of his gear giving him stam regen, which lets him focus on getting a lot more weapon damage than I can. It also lets him use crafted sets which equals nirn. This passive basically gives stam nightblades a huge advantage over other stam builds and also helps out gankers because they can achieve enough sustain with that passive alone. I'm not demanding a nerf but do you guys really think that is right?

    I think it's dangerous to take one aspect of two different classes and compare them in isolation. NB's and Templars have very different sets of strengths and weaknesses.

    I know they do, but really do you think a free 30 percent stam regen isn't pretty crazy?

    Yep. Get rid of the regen entirely. And make cloak only useable every 10 seconds. And it should only remove 1 effect.

    Templars have repentance, dks have helping hands and battle roar, nbs have refreshing shadows. There might be situations where one class has an advantage but in general they seem to be balanced.
    If anything stamina sorcs need a buff.

    Just saying, Templar's aura is 10%(passive) + 20% when activated. That 20% active bonus is the same thing you get from potions and they do not stack. The other morph is extreamly situational that it needs dead bodies to be used. NBs getting it by default (without having to waste a skill slot for it) plus potion buff when used = 50% bonus.
    Your balance understanding is failed sir.

    Sure, in a 1v1 fight refreshing shadows is better, but PvP isn't just about 1v1.
    20% more stamina reg equals less than 200 stamina per sec, my templar gets 2,5k stamina per dead body. So as long as you find a dead body (either npc or player) every 12 sec your Templar will have better stamina management.

    Well if you talking about balance, it should include 1v1.
    edit: Repentance does not give you 2.5k per corpse. It scales with magicka, so in a stamina build that has average 10k magicka it gives 1.1k stamina back. In a 1v1 fight it's pretty much useless unless you use dwemer set. And you can't fix 20% into a number. It will change based on your base regen. Could be 100 or 200 or 400.

    Bosmer = 21% stam regen
    Werewolf = 15% stam regen
    Full Medium armor = 28% stam regen
    Potions = 20% stam regen
    Grim Focus (active skill) = 10% stam regen
    Shadow Passive = 30% stam regen

    So I get a 124% boost to stam regen on my NB.

    I run 5 skirmisher/ 3 draugh king/ 2 shadow walker with master bow and master daggers...fully buffed, my weapon damage is around 3.5K - 4K (after dodge roll or with master bow buff) and my regen is around 2500.

    I would trade 30% of that for a reliable self-heal or damage shield!

    Vigor requires rank 10 in PVP....I prefer not to spend the next year farming AP just for one skill!

    If I am DW and Bow, rally doesn't work for my build very well, and swapping to two-handed would cause me to lose range options and 300 weapon damage (if I give up bow) or a ton of AOE damage (if I give up duel wield).

    So like I said, I would trade my 30% stam regen for a reliable class self heal....As far as PVP, why worry about rally or vigor when I can run DW with resto on my offbar for ward and buffs!

    Vigor is going down to rank 5 in the next update. And none of the classes using class heals with stamina builds. Vigor and Rally give you much more healing output. And yes even DKs use them. So it's not NB specific problem.
    As for magicka builds, Healing Ward is already outshining my templar class heal and shield. And as a Templar, I'm using it as my main heal. It's an all-in-one skill which is also very powerful in either way and that's all you need.
