[FARM] where to grind bait for fishing

Buddy of mine is going for master angler, we can't seem to find any good place for worms

Sure zombies give them here n there, but they mainly seem to give crawlers

Anyone know a good place to farm worms?

Every bait type except insect: zombies. Prime.example being cold harbour vile laboratory. An hour of grinding gave me one stack of each crawlers and worms and half a stack guts. If you take the time to collect the invariably buzzing fleshflies, you even get quite a few insect parts.

AFAIR, the zombies in Coldharbour had a fair chance to drop worms. Specially, in those corpse heaps that lay on the floor after you kill the zombies that spawn there...

Last time I was there, I ended with a full stack in ~1h. But that was several months ago, so it may have changed...

Any good updates on farming worms or is this information pretty much it? I tried my hand at farming zombies at the Vile Laboratory but got nothing. It doesn't have anything to do with my character level does it? Do I need to be within "looting level" to get worms and guts out of them? They were dropping health pots and whatnot so...

I am having similar luck I find many crawlers from lab kills but only about 10 worms per hour I am on Xbox not sure if that makes a difference. However I did just start a new alt character and am finding much more bait in plants compared to what my main has ever harvested from am alchemy node. Maybe there is a bait finding grace period in the beginning life of a character, just a thought.

Good info, and thanks. I'm thinking I'll create an alt to farm wailing prison, if that is still a thing.

I just went to the goat oasis, the goats spawn fast and drop guts. I got 100+ in like three minutes of running and killing them.

There are achievements for catching the various rare fishes from each zone, most zones have 12 possible rare fish to catch, catching all 12 unlocks a dye color.

Besides the fish, you can also fish up some house furnishings. There are fish and coral furnishings, for example.

Filleting caught fish can also rarel (like 1% chance) produce a Perfect Roe which is used primarily in the Psiijic recipes.

Goats head oasis in the alikir desert. They will drop guts and game and leather scraps.
