Basically I'm a level 6 high elf sorcerer

What should I focus on to get my spell casting higher and get better spells and enchantments?
I don't know what it's called but what stuff do I need to make my own enchantment if you get me?

And also what's the best staff to use?

The best way to get your skills higher is to put them on your bar.

I recommend putting an ability from each of your trees to get them all to start leveling.

The fire staff is almost universally considered the most powerful of the destruction staves. It doesn't matter so much at low levels which staff you use though. They all level up the destruction staff tree.

Enchanting requires runes that you'll find around zones. Just collect them and find an enchanting crafting station to use them to make enchants. For more information on enchanting check this guide:

Also note that the more skills you have from one tree on your bar the faster that skill tree levels.
