Strugling to pick a race...

The character i want to build is like this: a assassin type NB, who will dual wield most of time and have a resto staff for sel healing solo and support, no group main healing. So, fo a assassin the best thing to do is going full stamina, obviously. The magicka dont need to be upgraded because the healing is just support, and the main dmg dealing skills are stamina based.

So, what race to pick?

I need to be very sneaky, so theres bosmer and khajiit with stealthy passive... Theres the first question: this passive is really needed? Or the medium armor passive is enough? (Imagine a scenario where i will steal and murder npcs inside a castle)

If Stealthy passive is not really needed, so i prefer to go another race, maybe one that buffs a lot max stamina, or even maybe a hybrid one to buff magicka a little bit. Dunmer would be a good choice? I could be a vampire too...

So what you say? What would be the best race for this role?

First off, I'd avoid the resto staff, if you're going with dual wield and medium armor you wont really be able to make good use of it. You'll get enough healing out of class abilities like refreshing path, soul siphon, funnel health, killer's blade, and reaper's mark. You'll be far better served using a bow or a second set of daggers on the second weapon bar.

As far as race goes, Khajiit or bosmer, whichever you prefer aesthetically or lore-wise. Khajiit can attain higher critical chance with melee weapons than any other race in the game (6% more). Bosmer have 21% more stamina regeneration, which is always helpful for any melee build. Khajiit will level medium armor more quickly, while bosmer will level bows more quickly. Both of them have the same stealthy passive, and to answer your question yes, it is worth it - you get better sneaking, but it's the extra damage bonus on stealth attacks that makes the passive really worthwhile.

Play what you want. What you see when you envision the character in your mind. Racials can actually be very beneficial in this game (what a concept), but they are not game breaking. Your going to spend a lot of hours on this character if your like me, a lot. So, make a character you know you'll fall in love with, not one because they get 3 percent more health ect.

There really is no replacement for the Stealthy trait. My argonian erects the spine of envy for it (and also frowns at the Devs for not giving stealthy to Argonians too). Seriously though, I've noticed the difference with the Stealthy trait. In the justice system it is HUGE. In melee pvp assassin builds its also good. Just don't freak out when someone uses a detection potion and spots you - because that's the counter for being very annoying and sneaky. Flares, Caltrops and a few other abilities are pretty good for making sneaky nightblades come out of hiding as well.
