Hybrid NB - magicka + stamina

I understand that after 1.6 full sta or mag are more viable, but i am wondering, if a NB dual wield, with 2 pieces of light armor and points split between mag and stamina is viable, since i was planing to use a mix of stamina and magicka skills, and the magicka will help with the damage of those skills.

Is it viable? Too much dmg loss in skills like ambush and surprise attack?

Just to clarify, forget trials and arena... I am thinking of everything else. And a good survivability with strong dmg. And i dont want to use 2H.

You will be able to complete all solo content.You will not be that great in end game content or pvp.

Remember that a lot of skills have stamina morphs now, so you will not be cut off from your NB skills by going pure stamina. Even if you put no points into it, you will still have some magicka - so you can still use buffs etc.

You will get a lot more dps if you do one or the other. Your damage scales of your max stamina or magicka, so everything will be lower if your points are shared between them.

Depends on your definition of 'viability'. If you want to be the ultimate badass dps monster, the answer is a simple no. But if you just want to chill in a off-meta build you should be able to have some fun. Something like 5 Ma-2La Dw-Resto can work. In a dungeon you could be something like a dps, off-healer, support. You might want to find a group who knows what are you doing though.
