Red guard Templar skills setup

So this is my first time playing elder scrolls and my friends needed a tank so I chose red guard Templar. I've played diablo 3 but with this game it doesn't seem as direct with where to go with skills. Can anyone help me to figure out which attacks with magika and physical attacks to go with starting out fresh. Also what's going to be the most beneficial in armor class.

You should get a 1-handed weapon and a shield and at least 5 pieces heavy armour. How many points you put into which ressource will depend on your tanking style, so you have to figure out that on your own.
The most important thing when tanking is to hold block and use puncture (or inner fire when you get it) every 14 sec on bosses and other strong enemies.
Importat skills in the beginning are puncture (as taunt) and low slash (for damage reduction). Rushed ceremony can also be very usefull, as healing is hard and it allows you to support your healer a bit.
Later you might want to have a look at restoring aura, rune focus, defensive posture, blazing shield, inner fire and caltrops.
