Sorcerer Magicka help?

I've been doing research on YouTube to find the best build for my sorcerer. My max magicka is ~4500, and spells like Crystal Shards cost 800 per cast. I often have trouble with 1 vs Multiple because I don't have enough magicka. In some YouTube videos I've seen, people are casting Crystal shards for 300 and Endless Fury for 150! Do spell costs decrease with level/attributes?

    you might be looking at old videos. i think it was after patch 1.6 where all stats changed (i don't know exactly when, i came back after f2p). when i had quit at v3 like a year ago, my max magicka was something like 2-3K but when i came back it was 10x that amount.

    also, what level are you? do wear cloth with the cloth passives? they help your magicka efficiency.

    if you have a staff (destro or restoration) a full heavy attack will restore a bit of magicka per hit.

    Magicka management is very hard at low levels, but, trust me, it gets easier the more you level up. Try to obtain a crafted Seducer light armor set, it will really, really help.

    Endless Fury morph is great for me at my level (8). I always use it for a kill and the return helps.

    Glyph magicka boosts to all your armor.
    Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
    Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
    Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
    Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

    Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
    House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
    Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis
