Imperial Templar build help!!!

OakRaiders228
I haven't the slightest clue what I'm doing and need a super watered down version of help lol

I'm not being a Templar to heal my team I more wanna be tanky.

I'm wondering what I should put my level up points into and what to put my skill points into.

I like to use one handed weapons with shields and be up front and fighting.

Taunts - so Sword & Board plus Undaunted for the ranged taunt
Armour - Heavy, heavy, heavy (plus 1 light and 1 medium for the Undaunted Passive)
Stamina - can't have too much
Hit points - can't have too much!

IF you are not vet level then just go with the flow - super easy to level. Once you get to Vet level you hit the Vet level Brick Wall and things get tough. AT which point respec and ask again...

Yang Wudi Sub 50 Stamina Sorceror [DC]
Shou Chung Sub 50 Magicka DragonKnight

I'm a level 9 currently so far I have put

    1 Attribute Magicka

    3 Attribute Health

    4 Attribute Stamina

I accidentally spent a skill point on Soul Trap I think lol

Aedric Spear: I have Puncturing Strikes

One Hand and Shield: I have Ransack, Deep Slash, Defensive Posture
(Fortress 1/2) (Sword and Board 1/2)

    Imperial Skills: Tough 1/3

Should I be getting anything from the Dawns Wrath line? And what should I morph? I'm not sure what's worth while

I know for at tank you have to beef up your heavy armor and have lots of stamina. I believe some of your abilities will require stamina usage. Also a good thing to work on crafting armor so you can beef up your armor and make it stronger.

If you're going to play with a team, you don't need healing spells... but it would be good to have them for yourself... so your team can focus on dropping heals on the damage dealers.
    - that's what most skilled players in MMOs focus on.
    - can't kill DPS if they're getting healed by like 6 or 7 guys.
    - If you heal yourself multiple times, and distract the enemies for a few seconds that should give your guys enough time to drop mobs or players.

SO I recommend choose the healing skill line, put most of your skill points into Health with a few in stamina and Magicka here and there. Try to find max health enchantments, and drop those into your gear. Also make sure to put a few skill points into your heavy armor skill to make the damage you take a crap-ton lower. And some Skill points into that 'Imperial'. Try to find some CC (Crowd Control) skills in whatever skill line and use those as much as possible. Lower enemy stamina when they 'break free' so they can't use them melee abilities so much.

It's all complicated. And most of my builds don't work for other people because they don't have the same level of skill and know how.

    (Played Skyrim Since Release)
(Played a bit of PvP in WoW)
    (New to ESO)

The above in parenthesis basically means...don't trust my recommendations completely... but it sounds good enough for me to try and do with my new Redguard Character on the ESO server... (Morgan Freemawn)
