The stuff in night blade didn't really look good for an archer.
I am new to this game so correct me if I am wrong.
I am incredibly *** with things like this, I hate to think I am spending skill points in the wrong place so I have looked this kind of thing up before. The research I have done has led me to believe that you will get an overwhelming amount of skill points through the game (some people think too many).
Therefore you will more than likely max out alot of classes as you play anyway, so dont get too caught up on where to spend your points as you will get plenty of opportunity to max things out.
I think you also get the option to re assign skill points too.
If theres any pros here, please, put me right.
Think of your 5 skill bar slots as tricks up your sleeve. Not everyone can ever have all of them in any fight. Some people mix and match for different things they know they are about to do. I don't.
Look at each skill and ask yourself "what does it bring to the table? what can it do to increase my effectiveness in the playstyle I'm going for?". Bring a load out of tricks, each of which brings some different utility to you for multiple scenarios.
Bring something to escape, bring something to open with, to prime your next attack, something to control crowds with / shut down / stun enemies for when there are too many enemies, etc. Of course you need your goto damage dealer.
It all depends on what you want to do.
For a healer, it's easy. You bring your regen over time, a strong, instant heal/protection, a warding spell to protect low people, and then also on that bar something to deal damage + heal all allies with.
Just think of your bar as a cohesive set with skills that interplay nicely together to get you doing the style you want to do.
