Determining MOB Level?

In WoW, a mob was color coded relative to your level so you'd know it's level compared to your own, and if it was a mob you'd get xp from. I've only played the prison break and it quickly mentioned a mob's name is fancier I believe if it was a special boss-like creature. Does this also indicate its level? Thanks.

The Mob's level will be written out next to it's health bar, usually, if you have it targeted. You should see something like:

14 Wolf

or

27 Bull Netch


The fancier bars are just reserved for those mobs like special bosses and world bosses.
